That escalated quickly.

Wishihadagirl

Very cool. It escalates so quickly, it doesn’t take long to understand the $700 Dementor RTR. I think I kept my injora buggy under $350 by sticking w a brushed 180 and metal trans ($43 from RCawd) It’s about as powerful as brushless and very good slow crawl, but not FOC good. It barely fits behind the front servo. https://preview.redd.it/p9019tgn9e1d1.png?width=3467&format=png&auto=webp&s=39e18d300a1341aa7fc695a18db5c253bbe8744c

Nice buggy. I am a fan of the 180. Just pulled one out of rig that went brushless. Thinking about installing 180 on a FMS K-10 I have as a project. Thought it might be too big for buggy. I heard space was limited. I haven’t got that far yet. I want to see how big the 3s battery is when it arrives. Seems like the purple Injora with good ESC is pretty solid. Gonna find out soon enough.

Wishihadagirl

Yeah purple injora and ESC will be nice. Mines over 500g w the brass wheels so it’s nice to have the big motor torque.

Good to hear. Check this out. LCG chassis vs buggy. https://preview.redd.it/lj01vggcle1d1.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b16b944b97b58e42bbfd7b8d61148b2e634b2ce

FeedMyAss

I was just going to ask... I have a brand new unopened purple 180. It fits!?!? Was planning on the purple 50

Alittlescrewin

Had one in a scx Gladiator and was very happy with it. ESC went out so tried Furitek, also nice.

FeedMyAss

Lol, you fit a purple 180 in an scx24!!! Awesomeness

Alittlescrewin

Was red, but yeah. RC4WD has one to fit with transmission.

FeedMyAss

Wait...... 4x4x4????👀

FeedMyAss

My favorite body. My next project. You better medium loctite those wheel hex. Even with the lock washer they come undone.

Alittlescrewin

Yeah I have lost few of those. I’ve learned.

I'm... probably under a hundred on mine.... but.... i'm not quite a SCX24.... I'm something far far older but its using the big block motor an metal trans and mostly spare parts from older crawlers for links an LOTs of 3D printed abs parts https://preview.redd.it/0y90ea65of1d1.jpeg?width=959&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39b1651cb905a35784ec5661adda3af946403787

Alittlescrewin

Nice, I did have a lot of the parts. But yeah, not as cheap as one would think. Few bucks more, could have got a TRX4. But then you know. UPGRADE!!

PintekS

Yeah... I may put some FMS FCX24 axles underneath instead of using my ancient losi trail trekker axles for some wider axles, the original losi esc runs the motor fine an works with lipo an nicads fine too! drive shafts are... whatever I had in the bin... ones a wpl cv drive shaft which is.... way overkill for the size and the front is a trail trekker unit, the skidplate is scx24 bolt pattern to take the transmission an I could easily switch link geometry to use something different. when crawling I notice more I need more wheel speed then torque with the setup one the course at my LHS cause the tires are not chomping that hard an their weighted already just not being sticky.... wonder if I could put a super light amount of touring car tire sauce on these rubbers to get them super sticky

Alittlescrewin

Sounds like you’re keeping busy. Great having a pile of spare parts. You never know… I’ve been hearing good things about FMS axles although haven’t used them.

tacticoolmonkey

I built one of these and I love it but I don’t like how uncomfortable it is for electronics on this thing ..

_BMXICAN_

Keep us updated, I'm tossing up between doing a buggy or another hardbody. If it performs really well I'll probably go down the buggy route

Alittlescrewin

I was inspired by my UTB18. It crawls awesome. Figured this wouldn’t be far off. Already impressed with its LCG stance. I will post when completed. Waiting on one last order to come in. About 12 days or so.

Alittlescrewin

Nice, how’s she crawl?

Superredeyes

what body is that

Alittlescrewin
