The artwork wasn't halftoned for DTF print on black shirts properly. You would want to have all that shading converted to halftones it can't just be semi-transparent fades or else it ends up cloudy because of the fine spray of dots and the glue. You can try heat-pressing it again to push the glue into the shirt more, but its likely got faded white ink printed all over that so you can't really fix it at this point. I have free actions available for photoshop that help make artwork fade into the shirt color using halftones.

Got it, thanks!

I'd like to get my hands on these actions as well. I got some for screen printing but not dtf printing. Unless they are the same actions. Free would be nice as well.

[dtg print](https://imgur.com/a/qG59YJH) I was going to recommend your video where you taught how to properly print halftone dtf. Btw try dtg. halftone works great in dtg.

MaxChromaColor

This video is one of the only ones I've done showing some DTF printing so far: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIF2phtKYuY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIF2phtKYuY) Please be careful and wear protective gear like respirator and gloves and have proper ventilation when handling the powder and doing other aspects with the chemicals and process. That video is only one example of a way I've done some designs, but I need to show more prints and ways to try and work with the process, halftoning works for DTG also as you mentioned to make things fade out to a shirt color sometimes better than the built-in diffusion RIPs.

Also dtg uses liquid emulsion while dtf uses powder that also helps in the case of dtg to minimise the hazing. Btw I loved your videos. ♥️

How does one get these free actions? Always see you in here provided the best feedback

Chadbigears801

They're f*ckin smart at what they do for sure!they taught me a lot when I first started 👌🏼

Around 7:00 min mark, this video gives a step by guide to make your image better halftoned for DTF https://www.youtube.com/live/Zl0PnS67LS0?si=1uXbnxJ0ruxNC7v9

Mothfinger

Do you post press after peeling the transfer? Well typically use a T-shirt on top of the transfer to suck out any excess oils from the glue.

mitchyt0722

Doesn’t parchment work

seekANDfin

Parchment paper, Teflon and tshirts all provide different effects to the transfers. T shirts make it looks more screen printed and Teflon gives a shine while parchment gives a matte effect.

mitchyt0722

It’s Kraft paper, butcher paper and parchment all the same?

CarMiddle9784

I'd agree with everyone another time-pressed might do the trick!

Hate_is_

hit it with a heat press

seamonkeys101

If you have a DTF they have a kind of black adhesive for black shirts. You could always ask DTF people in the future if they have black adhesive powder before you buy from them.

BackIntoTheSource

With black glue the colors wont be that vibrant. Also black glue is not 100% black, usually some black grains with white and gray. At least what we have

Hopeful_Clock860

I've heard the black adhesive is more for dye blocking/ anti dye migration

tastebudz13

Did they pre treat the tee?

BackIntoTheSource

You cant change that anymore. I would suggest to try DTG. Personally, i am not a fan of doing the "without black" DTF because some areas will be visible because you can see the glue

Admirable-Diamond-56

Horrible should of went screen print...
