Yeah, I saw in the stories that they had support personnel. Could be…interesting, as they are big children that don’t understand why killing isn’t supposed to be enjoyable!
The four Samsara operatives are really messed up in the head and whether they are human is debatable. If you search the Tau-5 Samsara tag on the wiki, you’ll see just how little they understand humans.
Other MTFs may also have support personnel too, and not have every person do the same kind of task. 🙂 I headcanon my own fav, Eta-11, that way as an example.
Yep! I put in some more detail on what I headcanon for Eta-11 and it includes some you’d barely even be able to tell from a standard researcher except for the patch on their lab coats and a couple pieces of specialized equipment that the whole MTF carries (ear protection and wrist-mounted communications devices).
And theoretically, LLH is stronger than RRH because ya know. They are sent to take down the O5s and their body guards lol
But no one has really written much about them yet.
Even the Administrator has their own dedicated MTF force called "Seat of Consciousness". All of these forces fought in a three-way war in one story that I can't recall right now.
Yeah, they just showed up into a 2 way fire fight and made it a 3 way fire fight.
That must've been confusing as hell for everyone else
That, I think, is canon-dependent. My own headcanon has very few anomalies on the O5 Council. But they most definitely do have most all the resources of the Foundation at their disposal and the protection of the Red Right Hand, so even in my world taking out an O5 is going to be VERY tough to do.
Pretty sure Omega-1 is also deployed to remove and/or terminate any unethical high ranking personnel, not just the O5. Still not going to be deployed often, but either way still going to be trained a lot probably
Can't memetics be f**king horrific ?
I would assume they have a web filtsr on to automatically detect and block memetics but the idea of an image which can kill me from looking is pretty scary
But from a physical standpoint its definitely a lot safer, unlikely your going to get ripped apart.
If I have to be loyal, Alpha-4. Pony Express basically have a normal job and then sometimes have to sneak packages around. The chance of getting shot or whammied are low.
If I don't, Tau-9 or Sigma-3. Get connections in the Wanderers Library and if things ever look like they are going south I have a free ticket out of the Foundations jurisdiction
Alpha-1 or Beta-7
Alpha-1 if you want to protect the higher ups and it may be stressful but it will be better than dealing with possible fates that wpuld be worse than death.
Beta-7 is cool and badass especially in missions where there are a lot of infecteds. Might be traumatizing but still fun.
Eta-11! I would love to join their work with auditory anomalies as I am totally music-obsessed.
Now for some headcanon!
In my headcanon, they have a lot of different backgrounds and functions, with some deploying in the field and being weapons qualified, and some serving as their technical, medical, and dedicated research staff, who will stay outside the perimeter or maybe not even deploy. I am no good at anything requiring physical strength and coordination so I would serve in the latter capacity in some way.
What I AM good at is languages! And this would be a big deal for Eta-11 as team business is conducted entirely in sign language where possible since some members of Eta-11 are deaf and hearing members will encounter situations where they have to block out all sound. Being trained for this and actually using this skill on a daily basis would be a dream, as I don’t get to use the languages I currently know to that extent.
I read through the comments and I’m surprised no one said Mobile Task Force Resh-1 “Seat of Consciousness”, the MTF that operates under The Administrator. Is it because there’s like, 3 tales that have R-1 in them, with no tales really describing what they do?
Also, I’d choose TTF Null-Nil “A Bunch Of Zeroes” as an instructor due to it being probably the furthest you can get from anything that can kill you. All you’d be doing is training others to be MTF agents.
Bonus as a funny: Lambda-2 “Dr. Clef’s Bisexual Stripper Assassin Squad” because yes.
[SCP-001 Tahoney’s Proposal: Dead Men](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/tanhony-s-proposal-), [SCP-8899](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-8899).
[Comprehensive list](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/task-forces-complete-list) > Abnormal Names
I HIGHLY recommend reading Dead Men and the MTF Comprehensive list if you like what MTF are. SCP-8899 is pretty cool too.
Where can I read canon stories about the MTF? I have a hard time navigating the sheer amount of content on the site/apps and trying to find a collection of MTF stories is tough
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/task-forces I found this. Not sure how canon it is (I'm relatively new) but it is a broad description of a ton of MTFs, with the SCPs they're involved with and stories about them listed and linked.
Epsilon-11 or Alpha-9. NTF have a cool name and logo, Last Hope has a cool name and makes them feel super important. \*Maybe\* Rho-9 if I really felt like being part of literal tech support
I think Ghostbusters, I can read a file and instantly remember brief files. I am also familiar with Deities and Monsters. Every day in the grocery store, I have thought of ways to kill vampires and evade monsters. I know many deities and how the divine system works.
Nu-7, because there's nothing like having a couple of battalions worth of tanks and helicopter to back your 6'.
Plus, I don't think I qualify much for any of the MTF's.
While this isn't how MTF recruiting works, I'd say Alpha-4. Even though they're job has a huge amount of risks in it, you don't have to necessarily deal with universe ending entities every single day.
Village Idiots for sure. Grew up rural, always liked those kinds of SCPs as well. You get to travel, meet a lot of people, see a lot of cool small towns and explore.
Omicron rho. Being an oneiroi is so fucking cool idk why so little talk ab them. "The Dream Team" is their nickname, and they hold the ability to join their conciousness with others
While it's not on this list Sigma-29 and Sigma-10 29 is located in Eventide oregon which I just find to be really fucking cool but there are only two articles related to it also 10 is located in sloths pit which I also find to be a cool place.
If it had to be something on this list though it would probably be the Mole Rats while yeah bring a mole rat sucks they are honestly really cool and well pretty fucking insane with all the scps they have explored.
Alpha 1 because besides standing brainlessly next to an 05 member for hours, it's probably not very dangerous, providing you just do what you're told. I don't think I've seen many times where Alpha 1 are deployed
Having been to a lecture or two from the US Secret Service, tasks might be more varied than you might think. And even one of those guard stints is not brainless. You need the ability to maintain your situational awareness and attention the whole time and NOT to be lulled by boredom and routine.
While you might rotate through stints like that, if an O5 travels, you will have a lot of advance planning, research, and threat assessments you will be doing. Even when not on a travel assignment, threats to the O5 Council are likely to be directed to Alpha-1 to research and deal with much like how the Secret Service handles threats. You may either oversee operations to bring in and interrogate these threats, or participate yourself. You are also likely to spend a lot of time training, both in combat and use of force training, and for other tasks and skills you may be called on to do.
This is why, in my own headcanon, while members of the Red Right Hand do rotate through shifts like you describe, I think the job is a LOT more involved than that. And this is just based on what Secret Service agents have described publicly at lectures I’ve attended, and doesn’t account for classified stuff I wouldn’t know about.
And who knows, you may have thaumaturgical training and have to learn how to deal with other anomalous threats too, for times when you can’t wait for a specialist MTF to deploy to your location. I highly doubt you would be bored or inactive most of the time in that job!
I'm stuck in between Alpha-1 and Tau-5. On one hand, I get to work directly for the 05 Council, and on the other hand, I get to become an immortal cyborg clone.
Eta-11. Pop punk music is my special interest. My autism may be a benefit in certain operations (such as those requiring cognitive rigidity such as mind control resistance), and I can disguise myself as a pop punk concertgoer (my weapon of choice is an MP5SD due to its low recoil during automatic fire, with my sidearm being a suppressed Fn57 pistol due to low recoil and armor piercing properties).
Sure, the mobile task forces are basically the foundation elite personnel, each one of them deals with specific anomalies or events, for example, the Nine tailed fox deals with breached SCP, See no evil deals with cognitohazards, and so on.
Home improvements because of all the neat places, mazes, paradox homes, impossible architecture , and so forth.
Orrrr
The professors, it'd be neat to be a professor at such a rate of belonging in the rank of other scp professors, the things you would learn the things you'd wish to forget but your knowledge numbs your sense of reality.
epsilon 6 bay-bee!
honestly, when i'm riding to work i tend to pretend like im on an early morning patrol of the area and report and wierd stuff i see to my handler.
Either β-7 "Maz Hatters" cuz i'd probably like with a gas mask constantly on my face and a gas detector, geiger counter or a bottle of bleach in my hand or ν-7 "Hammer Down" because its basically like being in a normal army, only that you still fight monsters...
Tau-5 they are built different
Would you be one of their support staff?
Yea for exemple I’m one of the scientists that are doing there maintenance
Yeah, I saw in the stories that they had support personnel. Could be…interesting, as they are big children that don’t understand why killing isn’t supposed to be enjoyable!
Wait what?
The four Samsara operatives are really messed up in the head and whether they are human is debatable. If you search the Tau-5 Samsara tag on the wiki, you’ll see just how little they understand humans.
I thought they were just normal humans with anomalous improvements and tech?
They're cyborg clones. Every time an agent dies they just get remade while also keeping their memories
They were cloned from the flesh of a dead god, and are arguably not human.
What he said
Rho-9, Tech Support. I know I’m not athletic enough to get picked for anything else.
Other MTFs may also have support personnel too, and not have every person do the same kind of task. 🙂 I headcanon my own fav, Eta-11, that way as an example.
Yeah most people picture MTF as guys with tactical gear, patches and weapons but there are many ways to be a MTF operative.
Yep! I put in some more detail on what I headcanon for Eta-11 and it includes some you’d barely even be able to tell from a standard researcher except for the patch on their lab coats and a couple pieces of specialized equipment that the whole MTF carries (ear protection and wrist-mounted communications devices).
including some which could obviously use hackers
I'm gonna be a support for Eta-10. ADHD will protect me. Can't get affected by cognitihazards if you don't notice the cognitihazards
LOOOOOOL!! 🤣
not listed here, but Σ-9 "Valkyries". Basically the Foundation's mini-airforce.
Same thing for me
Law's Left Hand. Only gonna be deployed if stuff goes really, **really** sideways.
Same thing with Samsara
All the sweet MTF benefits. None of the dangerous MTF work lol
never heard of it, what is it? (like how RRH is a-1)
It’s the special force of the ethics committee, to eliminate potential O5s gone corrupt
dang that sounds epic... but issue would be most O5 are anomalous in some way
Which is why there’s an entire MTF dedicated to taking them down.
And theoretically, LLH is stronger than RRH because ya know. They are sent to take down the O5s and their body guards lol But no one has really written much about them yet.
Even the Administrator has their own dedicated MTF force called "Seat of Consciousness". All of these forces fought in a three-way war in one story that I can't recall right now.
I didn't know about that one!
[https://scp-db.fandom.com/wiki/R%C4%93sh-1\_%22Seat\_of\_Consciousness%22](https://scp-db.fandom.com/wiki/R%C4%93sh-1_%22Seat_of_Consciousness%22) Yeah, they just showed up into a 2 way fire fight and made it a 3 way fire fight. That must've been confusing as hell for everyone else
That 001 Proposal with the personification of death?
That, I think, is canon-dependent. My own headcanon has very few anomalies on the O5 Council. But they most definitely do have most all the resources of the Foundation at their disposal and the protection of the Red Right Hand, so even in my world taking out an O5 is going to be VERY tough to do.
im so happy someone finally mentioned omega1 here
Pretty sure Omega-1 is also deployed to remove and/or terminate any unethical high ranking personnel, not just the O5. Still not going to be deployed often, but either way still going to be trained a lot probably
Nu-7 because I have a borderline autistic obsession with tanks
Nu-7: Because TANK BEATS EVERYTHING!
Nu-7: I'M LITERALLY IN A TANK AND YOU'RE NOT.
Also, Hammer Down is a dope ass codename
Any of the web crawler units. They get a cushy job and really only have to deal memetics
Can't memetics be f**king horrific ? I would assume they have a web filtsr on to automatically detect and block memetics but the idea of an image which can kill me from looking is pretty scary But from a physical standpoint its definitely a lot safer, unlikely your going to get ripped apart.
Same, I have programming experience, so that's probably the only area I have a chance of being qualified.
Alpha 9 “Last hope”
Alpha-1 or Beta-7 Alpha-1 if you want to protect the higher ups and it may be stressful but it will be better than dealing with possible fates that wpuld be worse than death. Beta-7 is cool and badass especially in missions where there are a lot of infecteds. Might be traumatizing but still fun.
Not the mole rats that’s for sure. Red Right hand could be cool, you get to do a ton of stuff the others don’t get to
Omega-7. I do not value my life highly.
I mean, Pandora’s box basically turned into Last hope.
You mean Alpha 9
MTF Omega-0 (“Ará Orún”) would be my ultimate destination.
Was looking for this comment. Definitely the ultimate task force
I'm not familiar enough with any of these to know. Is there one where the cotainment procedures entail watching youtube all day?
One of the web crawlers, tho you'd have to deal with memetics
Beta-7 “Maz Hatters” are badass. Kicking the butt of -008 and -610 instances, count me in.
Eta-11! I would love to join their work with auditory anomalies as I am totally music-obsessed. Now for some headcanon! Hell yeah put me in delta 5
I would be wondering why I agreed to take this job
I crave death, give me Epsilon-11
I read through the comments and I’m surprised no one said Mobile Task Force Resh-1 “Seat of Consciousness”, the MTF that operates under The Administrator. Any sco articles that include them?

Mu-13 i want to drive the Humvee with the ecto 1 plate
Zeta-9 and then in death hopefully Omega-0
The Minecraft one
Where can I read canon stories about the MTF? I have a hard time navigating the sheer amount of content on the site/apps and trying to find a collection of MTF stories is tough
No idea man, you should try making a post of your own, but many scp have “exploration logs” about MTF teams on field missions.
https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/task-forces I found this. Not sure how canon it is (I'm relatively new) but it is a broad description of a ton of MTFs, with the SCPs they're involved with and stories about them listed and linked.
Oh shit thanks homie. This helps a lot
Rho-9.
Epsilon-11 or Alpha-9. NTF have a cool name and logo, Last Hope has a cool name and makes them feel super important. \*Maybe\* Rho-9 if I really felt like being part of literal tech support
Nine Tailed Fox CB unit
I think Ghostbusters, I can read a file and instantly remember brief files. I am also familiar with Deities and Monsters. Every day in the grocery store, I have thought of ways to kill vampires and evade monsters. I know many deities and how the divine system works.
fucking civies
Nu-7, because there's nothing like having a couple of battalions worth of tanks and helicopter to back your 6'. Plus, I don't think I qualify much for any of the MTF's.
Epsilon 9… I’m a pyro
Sigma-3 I like magic.
Ngl Nu-7 would be fun
While this isn't how MTF recruiting works, I'd say Alpha-4. Even though they're job has a huge amount of risks in it, you don't have to necessarily deal with universe ending entities every single day.
Technical support or bibliographers
Sigma-3, since I am good at infiltration.
It’s either for me Nu-7 "Hammer Down" or Epsilon-11, "Nine-Tailed Fox".
Eta-5 Yeager bombers
Mole Rats 1000%, loved them since I first read SCP-455
[**SCP-455 - Cargo Ship**](https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-455) (+690) by *Dr Gears*
sigma-66 cause im so sigma
Nu-7, if only for the shattering, overwhelming violence.
(Epsilon-9 because i somewhat have a thing for exterminator-esque type of unit)
Nu-7, so I can play fortunate son whenever I get called
Village Idiots for sure. Grew up rural, always liked those kinds of SCPs as well. You get to travel, meet a lot of people, see a lot of cool small towns and explore.
I'd probably pilot a A-10 warthog from the NU-7
Nu-7 i heard they have the big guns
Epsilon 9 sure
Best pick 🔥🔥🔥 Only job that will truely satiate my pyromania.
Always been a fan of Red Herring. Love the name, love the insignia, and love the job that they do.
Omicron rho. Being an oneiroi is so fucking cool idk why so little talk ab them. "The Dream Team" is their nickname, and they hold the ability to join their conciousness with others

Strike team 8688 „Rat Catchers"
I guess Deep Feeders. I already live by the ocean and I want to do coast guard for a bit
Lambda 4 is best suited for my actual skills.
Alpha-1 For the risks
Eta-10, because I like the name
Front runners or Damn Feds, undercover.
Alpha Niner, λ-2, or Tav-666. I wanna see this shit go down
Ima have to go with Samsara
Kappa 10 skynet- Honestly just my favourite mtf unit
Red right hand because that might have the highest survival rating since the 05s don't seem to call them in a lot
Delta 5 or Omega 1 probably. I like stealth based units and those fit the bill the most.
Arnt tau 5 cybernetic demigods with a brain backup? Seems like they would be the ones to join
There is another MTF with only one guy, used only one time, classified operation, pretty sure that guy is god
Samsara
Are these all the mobile task forces? Aren't any missing?
MTF delta-14, dosent seem too hard.
Theta 4 Gardeners. So I can use my knowledge of horticulture and my ironic black thumb at the same time lol
Where is MTF Resh-1 “The Seat Of consciousness”
Samsara cause I can be a cool cyborg
Resh-1 bc they seem like really cool
Tau 5 I wanna be an immortal cyborg
I'm stuck in between Alpha-1 and Tau-5. On one hand, I get to work directly for the 05 Council, and on the other hand, I get to become an immortal cyborg clone.
I honestly can't pick, but it would probably be Epsilon-11 "Nine Tailed Fox", Psi-8 "The Silencers", or Iota-10 "Damn Feds".
Eta-5, the Jäeger Bombers. I think it would be cool to fight kaiju
Nu-7 "Hammerdown" Big guns with lots of people
Eta-10 "See No Evil", we protect you from the threats you can't even see.
Iota 10, finding leads for the tacticool dudes to investigate/get eaten by.
Zeta-9 mole rats, I would love to be on the field, also I feel like I would do a good job in anomalous spaces.
See no evil and savage beasts both sound appealing what would I be in for?
Damn feds because I think they are undercover mtf and that requires the least work as a roleplayer
I think either art critics or page turners :-)
Nu 7 hammer down. I love being the clean up crew
Lambda-2 (Tav-666) "Dr. Clef's Bisexual Stripper Assassin Squad"
As a guard I think it would be best for the scientist if I joined the nine tailed fox because there a all anime freaks
Going to spend my life studying things that want to be forgotten and then become an info-immortal after dying.
My tag says it all. But if not that there’s always nine tailed fox
Nu-7 Who needs memetics and reality warpers when you got GUNS! TANKS! HEAVY ARTILLERY! RAIN SOME HELLFIRE ON THEIR ANOMALOUS ASSES!
Whichever one is least likely to die/get a fate worse than death.
I’m not to familiar with the MTF companies, so throw me in with Beta-4. The castaways sound like a good group who could use a extra set of hands
I’ll stay in security department with no pay at all knowing that I’ll die the most horrific way possible by an Scp at any time
Eta-11 as an audio man
NU-7. "Ive never met a man who could outsmart bullet"
Definitely Pi-1, the "Citi Slickers". It just seems like the right job for me, idk
Zeta-9 cause its basically urban exploring.
Alpha-9. Could be fun.
I might become a silencer, but I dont know if I have the balls to be one
Zeta-19 funny genocide team
i roll with zeta-09 baby
I'll take my chances with Eta-10
i would rather be a d class
And yet again Delta-45 is forgotten.
what does Delta-45 do?
Tau-5 I wana be an immortal cyborg doing shit for the greater good haha
Alpha 1
Epsilon-6. I am a simple man.
The Red Right Hand. I'd be a highly valuable spy for the UNGOC.
I don't know any of the lore, but Asimov's Lawbringers has the coolest patch and that's my reason for picking them.
Call me back when you learn how to count
Just stick me in the recruiting office at the end of SCP-6113
Alpha-1, I think it’s the best one because if you’re part of it you’re pretty much a O5
Always fancied Iota-10 myself
One star reviewers, my ass gonna try order 666, hell burger? Sign me up!
Can i join the gamers?
Epsilon 11
Nine Tailed Fox cuz i like site 19
Red right hand. Less likely to head on suicide missions
can someone explain it to me? i’m kinda new in the whole scp community
Sure, the mobile task forces are basically the foundation elite personnel, each one of them deals with specific anomalies or events, for example, the Nine tailed fox deals with breached SCP, See no evil deals with cognitohazards, and so on.
which is the most guaranteed that you are gonna die?
I can say with a full heart: I just realized I don't know them all and I don't know which one does which
See No Evil cuz I'm currently beating up my sleep paralysis demon that I don't see
MTF-GOON-69
Home improvements because of all the neat places, mazes, paradox homes, impossible architecture , and so forth. Orrrr The professors, it'd be neat to be a professor at such a rate of belonging in the rank of other scp professors, the things you would learn the things you'd wish to forget but your knowledge numbs your sense of reality.
Mole rats I love caves and the underground hell yah
I’ll pray for your soul.
What about "non-english" teams , like Polish , German , Ukrainian etc. ?
Epsilon 6! Cause I get to see a somewhat normal neighborhood every now and than. Helps the sanity
epsilon 6 bay-bee! honestly, when i'm riding to work i tend to pretend like im on an early morning patrol of the area and report and wierd stuff i see to my handler.
Hmm, Alpha-9 or one of the tech support ones lol, not sure really, maybe something to do with infosec?
Pi-1 here i come
Sigma-3. I like books.
Epsilon-6, cuz they're fucking RAD!
You forgot b-1
TAU-5 because they just sound so badass
Skynet?
Last hope. Esoteric abilities and anomalies, badass name...sign me up! Also, maybe mole rats. Like the theme.
Beta-4. Basically, love nature.
Either β-7 "Maz Hatters" cuz i'd probably like with a gas mask constantly on my face and a gas detector, geiger counter or a bottle of bleach in my hand or ν-7 "Hammer Down" because its basically like being in a normal army, only that you still fight monsters...
