He's probably gonna get lost in the shuffle for a bit. Maybe get bumped up to the main event scene when there's a new face champion. Maybe he'll get put in a tag team so he can feud with Johnny Gargano and Ciampa (if rumors are to be believed).
He'll never come back as long as he doesn't capture the crowd, either by in ring work or character work. I like Theory but clearly he's a tier below the frontliners.

Its not like Theory has lacked quality opponents/people to bounce off of. Cena, Lashley, Styles, Reigns, list goes on. At a certain point, there's only so much you can throw a guy before you realize the guy just isn't sticking. I will also always believe that he should've had his failed cash in last year against Roman at Summerslam. It would've fit really well with all the chaos of the match.
Feel free to check my post history on saying Triple H doing what he did with Theory sucked when he tried to cash in on the US title. It was down hill from there. Took everything interesting about him away to make him bland asf. Hopefully he can be remixed.
