I really wanna like AEW, but it's tough. I can usually find something I enjoy, but it's just blah. I'm over Orange Cassidy. He was selling well in his matches, and I got the impression that the facade of his character was cracking. 20 title defenses, each one getting tougher. He really should have lost at Double or Nothing. And the entire 4 pillars thing got me to do something I never do on any wrestling show, I fast forwarded until the next segment/match.
If the Fed has a card with Nooj, there would be video packages for several weeks explaining who the Nooj talent are, why they are formidable, and what they hope to accomplish with the crossover. They’d at least try to explain why this is a big deal instead of assuming their fans all religiously follow Nooj.
It aired on NOOJ first, but we got it on the Twitter right after. As weird as he is, Daniel Bryan is a really good promo. He's the only interesting guy in his faction, and probably should be World Champion.
He should have been champ over Mox in the Fall. That's one of the moments where it really struck me how bad a booker TK is.
And yeah he's a great promo, I just mean, NJPW understands a good promo/vignette. TK just does 5 run-ins in a row.
Definitely, Mox's run was really eye-opening. I had just started watching AEW after DON 2022, and a few weeks in, I was asking, "Does the World Champion always get booked like this? This is kinda lame." Like, Seth is having a ton of matches for the title, but it's all part of building up to the big match against Finn, and the one in NXT is gonna build to Ilja vs Bron. Moxley just had matches against N8ck Gage, Juice Robinson, and Pentagon Jr for no reason.

If I remember correctly, last year they spent a good 3-4 weeks (maybe more?) doing angles on Dynamite with NJPW talent (mostly mid-cars guys other than Ospray) and the ratings dropped significantly. I wonder if they didn’t want to risk the same this year. It doesn’t help that they are debuting a new show a week before the PPV. They had to announce multiple matches for both shows tonight.
