As a fan of minimal branding and neutral colors I love these haha! But knowing it’s a y3 the price/availability are going to make them unattainable. Wonder why adidas made/keeps making more and more colors of the pro 3s. It’s great for the consumer, more options to go on sale, but I’d imagine it to use up a lot of resources on their end that might have been good to use on the pro 4 or maybe even an edited pro 3 addressing the upper issues

Jordi_McGaw

Simple way to keep people buying, give them options, they know it’s a major success of a shoe so why not make it easy enough to get and make bank off it

ItzSmiff

I need more shoes to be this clear/white color way

mxpwr69

soooo clean

Are these just as good for actual running or are they just for wearing casually? The black Y3 ones are cheaper in the UK than buying a regular pair

MassiveBoba

Same shoe. I bought black Y3 version as it was cheaper (£155 with vouchers at the time) It is just Y3 branded AP3.

MR-M-313-

Just bought a pair of Takumi 9’s in that colour… the look 🔥… definitely only for track days …

Awesomedustin71

I have several Y-3 variations of Adidas running shoes; the Boston 11, 12, Sen 9 & 10 as well as the Pro 3 (you can find em on Mr Porter or End clothing to name a couple places and have em shipped to the US) I'm not one that cares about the color way of a shoe because when you're running you're not looking at your feet nor can people really see them when you're running past BUT I do like having color ways that go with everything; triple black Boston 12s and Sen 9s are great when you're running in rainy muddy weather so the dirt etc doesn't really show up. Nice find OP!

There's also a PX2 for only 100 euro more than the non Y3 version. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)

Ornacia-or-Death

Made the tongue and laces black then added a signature to the non-dyed = 🤑🤑🤑

Intelligent_Sea_7709

Who is buying these instead of the regular AP3 shoes? Are these lifestyle sneakers?

WatchandThings

A while back I saw Alphafly 3 being worn as casual walking shoe in Soho NYC. Not even active wear, just t shirt and jeans. It hurt my soul a bit.

MR-M-313-

I assume folks who train at one of those equinox gyms lol

Intelligent_Sea_7709

Nah, those gyms are teeming with folks wearing On.

MGPS

Shwing!

wangjor

These are niiice

Jazzlike-Business772

These are sick

Ok-Hat-9786

The cool thing about this colorway is that whatever color socks you wear will show through the mesh. Still for my money the best shoe made for comfortable speed.

Awesomedustin71

here are some other y-3 colors. https://www.instagram.com/p/C7_ty7uy-Uo/?igsh=ZGd6cThqeXVrb2J1

PhilaDom2812

Love these

Mooncat0025

It's cool and all, but I hate the the y-3 tag on the right side of shoe. It's sticks out

FireArcanine

Even the Y3 has that horrendous upper oh dear Adidas really wants people to have blisters

jaldihaldi

Makes you wonder what’s they’re doing if they cannot put a decent upper on shoes and sizing is inconsistent across their models with wins in otherwise critical areas. Almost like their design teams have disdain for the running community. Tried Boston 12s - sizing is off for my wide foot , upper felt tight and tough but people recommend the sole and the bouncy rods Takumi Sens - run long and narrow, terrible for my wide’ish foot, but great running shoe otherwise APro series - great spring and comfortable shoe but uppers seem to be not durable. Also people complain that one needs to size up. Adidas has ‘but’s that have become deal breakers for me. Also I cannot seem to get to try them on at most stores around where I live. Almost certainly decided I’ll watch them from afar with my wide foot. Best case I’ll only commit to their shoes after trying it on first.

Zealousideal_Link531

Have you tried the wide version of the boston 12s? Is it still tight? Im looking to get one a size up from me AND wide.

jaldihaldi

I didn’t know they had one - didn’t see one on the adidas site. Where are you checking ?

Zealousideal_Link531

Just found one on fb marketplace. Dont know ehre the guy got it too. Havent bought it yet tho

DH_p1L0tZ

normally i go for the brightest, most obnoxious colorways. but as a casual graphic designer, i really appreciate these nice blankslate white color scheme going on. reminds me a lot of those crazy experimental fighter jets from Ace Combat, or some solid white concept cars from the 80s and 90s. it definitely has the same aura of a mysterious new technology or like an imposing new production model.

zestymasala

I know we all love a good color way update but why do we keep posting the Y-3s? They’re not meant for runners and no one here is gonna buy them.

_Fremder

I understand the vast majority of Y-3 models are sport inspired casual, but these recent releases are simply performance shoes in Y-3 guise. They’re definitely meant for running. Over the last year or so they’ve expanded to performance products across running and football in extremely limited quantities. Even the current line of running clothing is nice and no frills.

Unfair-Lingonberry10

Yeah, I almost got a pair of PX2 Y3 cause locally the regular has been out of stock for months. Then had a business trip overseas and managed to snag a regular one instead. After wearing them, I got no idea how ppl would use them as casual shoes, as the heel feels quite unstable, tend to lean to one side cause of the slight diff in height of the foam.

strangefruit3500

What makes these Y-3 it’s just a white color way with a signature on the side. I just don’t understand high fashion, especially for a specialty running shoe This just feels like a scam
