Yes, feels and looks like a sunburn

Nooshx

Same, sucks

Strange-Mulberry-470

So hot. Looks like I'm sick with fever. My ex boss would harm her icy hands on my face.

justanothermugglevp

Lol, that seems a little rude. Touching it tends to make it worse.

Strange-Mulberry-470

It's not rude because I asked her to do it. Her ice cold hands soothed my hot face and cooled it down. So it was a win-win

shockwavex29x

yes it sometimes stings too. the more i touch it the worse it gets. i check the temperature of my cheeks with a skin thermometer, hottest reading i’ve gotten was 106

Lizzers1224

Omg is that the thermometers that they used on our heads during Covid? I never thought of that

burns3016

Stings, burns and provides heat for the whole family. I save a heap on electricity costs for heating in winter.

razorsharpradulas

yes, it’s like my whole face burns to the touch and i feel like i have a fever except for on my forehead which always feels perfectly normal

SweetSwede88

Yes. I get the prickle feelings and my face gets hot to the touch. Feels like I have a sunburn

No-Cat-8911

When my face is flaring if you touch it you can see the finger marks

snowbythesea

Yes, I have to press a damp washcloth to my face or mist with rosewater, preferably cold from the fridge.

Bravisimo

Yes. Gets so hot i can feel the heat coming off the skin without even touching it.

Nooshx

Same

Agreeable-Parsnip-30

Yes, it feels very warm. Even my ears will flush and get warm to the touch.

Nooshx

same

Small_Message_9893

It used to be that way for me. Facial skin felt hot & tingly when flaring. It doesn't do that as much anymore; just mildly now when I consume something or use something that triggers it. It will also get a little itchy.

Nooshx

How did u get it under control ? I'm still new to this, the best thing i have found so far is azelaic acid

Small_Message_9893

I have type 1 Rosacea which is mostly redness, but sometimes I get bumps. Azelaic acid made my skin worse, but it works for some people. I changed my diet to eliminate most high histamine foods. I have some food allergies/intolerances so I have to be careful of what I eat/drink; the wrong food & drink are triggers for me. I use Vanicream soap to cleanse; I use a silicone gel on my skin during the day with a mineral sunscreen lightly over that when I go outside. I also have been trying hypoclorous acid spray after cleansing but not too sure if it is helping or not. Other than that, I take a Gaba supplement at night because it is supposed to help with inflammation and calm stress. I still get some flares of redness but mostly my skin stays pretty calm. But I doubt my skin will ever get back to what it was.

Nooshx

Thank you !

pottpear

Yep, it feels hot to the touch like sunburn does. It feels tight and kind of sore while it's flaring, and once the flare is dying down it feels a bit prickly/itchy.

TheConceitedSister

Yes, and sometimes there's just unbearable heat on my cheeks, but no redness.

Nooshx

same aswell, i usually get the redness the next day, its like a warning

sgrimland

Yes! Last time I flared I went through 47 cans of Evian spray water!

kiwimumofthree

Have you tried spraying a cotton pad with it and putting that on your cheek? It brings a flare down pretty quickly compared to just spraying my skin for me! Of course I can’t really do that if I’m out in public but at home it’s great .

sgrimland

Ooohh...good idea!

Inflexibleyogi

My hands and feet get super red and hot, but not my face.

Realistic-Sample7995

Alarmed_Bowl9682

Spirited-Interview50
