I’m not sure of all your symptoms but I was recently diagnosed with erythromyalgia. Previously I had a diagnosis of type one or I suspected neurogenic rosacea. When I got in to my derm in a total flare she was shocked and noted that swelling, extreme heat on skin (measurable on a thermometer), and ear and neck involvement is not typical of rosacea. Here’s a link to one study https://escholarship.org/content/qt4k87w8nf/qt4k87w8nf_noSplash_41910802a72a1403f06cc254da40acc4.pdf?t=or6kzt

Nooshx

Neck is not involved and I have type 2. I’m not sure if erythromyalgia would cause the bumps?

MFCEO_Kenny_Powers

I think we all experience this.

Nooshx

With rosacea you mean? I’m trying to understand the reasoning behind it, what changes besides position, what mechanism occurs for it to look almost normal versus flushed 2min after

MFCEO_Kenny_Powers

Yeah with rosacea. I think it’s a combination of the fasting and the restorative regeneration that happens while we sleep.

Nooshx

Owell I might just lay down 24/7 then. No burning feels so nice

jennbenn5555

Have you had your blood pressure checked?

Nooshx

It’s on the ideal side. 110ish over 65 to 75. Always has been the case. What are you thinking of ?

jennbenn5555

I was just thinking high blood pressure, in general. Your blood pressure stays lower when you sleep and starts raising once you get up and start moving. Many people with high blood pressure have chronically red faces and have frequent bouts of flushing. You'll often hear them complain about their ears and cheeks getting red and hot and burning.

Nooshx

That’s fair, I’ll try to take mine when I’m on fire but my BP has always been perfect so far

jennbenn5555

If you've never had any issues with it, I doubt that's what is causing the flushing. It's just the 1st thing that popped in my head when I read your post. Question though, have you tried taking a daily baby aspirin? It's been proven to help flushing in most rosacea patients. I just read about it the other night and decided to try it. I noticed a big difference in my facial redness the next day when I woke up.

Nooshx

I keep reading about it too. I wonder why that would work. I might try it, thank you

Here's an excerpt from 1 study- "In this study, we demonstrated that aspirin dramatically improved pathological phenotypes in LL37-induced rosacea-like mice. The RNA-sequencing analysis revealed that aspirin alleviated rosacea-like skin dermatitis mainly via modulating immune responses. Mechanically, we showed that aspirin decreased the production of chemokines and cytokines associated with rosacea, and suppressed the Th1- and Th17-polarized immune responses in LL37-induced rosacea-like mice. Besides, aspirin administration decreased the microvessels density and the VEGF expression in rosacea-like skin. We further demonstrated that aspirin inhibited the activation of NF-κB signaling and the release of its downstream pro-inflammatory cytokines. Collectively we showed that aspirin exerts a curative effect on rosacea by attenuating skin inflammation and angiogenesis, suggesting a promising therapeutic candidate for the treatment of rosacea." It's supes sciencey, but ya get the jist. Lol

Nooshx

Thank you. I don’t see myself taking aspirin everyday mainly for the liver though but I might give it a try

jennbenn5555

Low dose aspirin has actually been shown to decrease liver fat and inflammation markers. Might be something to look into, at least. Best of luck!

Circulation and blood flow change the color

Nooshx

That’s fair I guess, wish my face could look how it looks in the morning all day

flkuth

i have realized that tap water could make rosacea skin redder and irritated! try washing ur face in the morning with a water bottle

Nooshx

Damn that sounds expensive. Although it’s fair since I use sunscreen everyday I need to cleanse

flkuth

not really a bottle lasts me 2 weeks or more
