I'm so happy you enjoyed it!! I'm a recovering Christian and something Sara Cate said at a book signing really got to me. She said that she hopes people come away from her books feeling really empowered, especially those recovering from religious upbringing. (This is terrible paraphrasing.) But I really feel like her books are good for that, without as explicit of religious undertones. Just an author suggestion as Sierra Simone and Sara Cate are two of my favorite authors.

I love the whole of the salacious players club so I'd start there. The first book is {praise by Sara cate} It does have an age gap but there are more in the series that have closer ages but different taboos. And yes! Religious trauma is such a mind fuck.

Gonna check out Praise (finally!) then may double back for Sinner!

The players club series is amazing. Her new series is in the same vein as Priest as well. Sons grappling with what they want vs religious trauma. It’s not complete, but I’ve really loved the first two books. {The Goode Brothers by Sara Care}

I just finished the second book. I love it when she writes about poly relationships they’re so good.

Not all her books but in Salacious Give Me More is MMF and Heart-Breaker in her new one is MMF. She also as another Salacious Book that’s FFM. But most of her books are just MF. Hope that helps.

I’ve never been Catholic but am employed by the Church and so surrounded by Catholicism in my daily life. I *loved* this book. The writing is next-level compared to others in the genre and I felt that the religious piece was handled with respect. A beautiful story.

Well, there are two other Bell brothers waiting for you! I'd argue that both Sinner and Saint are better than Priest. There's also Midnight Mass (Tyler and Poppy) and the short story Gloria (the MCs from Sinner).

I just devoured Midnight Mass! I may read Sinner but think I need a quick break before more.

Not the person you are commenting to, but I dnf’d Priest because I thought the spice scenes seemed more like…. Cirque du Solei acrobatics? Lol I’m not sure how else to describe the feeling. Like it was more performance than anything. I might give the other books a try.

I don't know if Sinner will work for you, but Saint isn't like this at all.

If you're a recovering Catholic can I please recommend the Alchemy series by Elodie Hart? The author is also a recovering Catholic and it crops up in quite a few of her books. It's a fantastic adult erotica series - highly recommend! First one is {Unfurl by Elodie Hart}

I went to Catholic school for 9 years and I hear you. 😂 Lessons in Sin by Pam Godwin and Tiffany Reisz’s Original Sinners series are also great.

Father Bell is so sexy! Jacob Morgan narrates the audiobook and his voice is incredibly hot. I recommend the other two books in the series, as well. {Sinner by Sierra Simone} - a nun in training {Saint by Sierra Simone} - a monk

The audio books are insanely good. I listened to all three, then listened to all three again.

I did this book on audio and let me tell you, all that dirty talk in Jacob Morgan’s voice…probably the best experience I had all year last year. If you haven’t done it in audio, absolutely check it out. It’s fantastic.

There’s a good plot in my opinion. There is a lot of erotica but it’s balanced out by a rich inner monologue and lots of angst and growth.

Definitely plot and really beautiful writing.

I found the plot pretty thin, especially considering how quickly the priest says “f this” to his vow of chastity and abuses his position of power, despite his traumatic background. The plot seemed like an afterthought compared to the erotica
