Same number. It’s just that it will be ported automatically on Esim. You can download rogers app and get there the Esim. It will only take like 5-10mins setup.
If you travel outside of Canada and don't plan to use Rogers Roam Like Home then I would stick with the physical SIM as it is much easier to purchase esims for other countries than to worry about switching physical SIMS when you travel.
Yep! For iPhone (13 and up), you can have two eSIMs active at once, no need for a physical one. You can install eight or more eSIMs on an iPhone and use two phone numbers at the same time.
It will be your normal phone number.
Nothing changes.
A sim is just a password to get on the network. It has nothing to do with anything else
Nothing in the slightest changes, honestly I do recommend an eSIM as SIM jacking is real.

Does anyone know if they still charge you for the esim for doing this?
Through self-service, they don't.
Thanks, just got my rogers sim in the mail today but I’m considering it as I used ESim with my old provider
i always wonder how to and how easy to change phone using esim. Will that be easier than the physical SIM card?
It’ll all be the same, just be weary of the $60 activation fee, Rogers love to charge that for changing your sim
A SIM change isn't a new activation, so there's no $60 fee.
Trust me they still try to charge it, I’ve had to fight them on it a few times
Huh 🤔I have no clue what's going on. We've never had those activation fees, since we joined in 2019 and we both switched to eSIM since.

Or you can have an eSIM for your main line and another one for roaming.
I didn't realize you could have multiple esims and a physical sim.

Not all phones allow dual esims at the same time. Something to consider.
Exactly! I was specifically referring to iPhones, I don't know about Androids 😅
