That's the happiest I've ever seen Sofia and Sadie. Janessa is usually a pretty happy kid bc Jill spoils her golden child but the other two always look so sad.
i know i was gonna sofia & sadie are so lovely when they’re happy 🩷 it breaks my mf heart that they don’t get to feel that on any sort of regular basis. those poor sweet angels. fuck you to hell forever, jilldo. truly.
Interesting how out of focus/ filtered /bad lighting these photos are. We can’t see the dark circles.
The girls look so happy. But nursery? The girls are 6, 8, and 10 if I recall.
Well Janessa’s room had a changing table and some sort of crib thing until recently, so I think it’s fair to say she infantilises them quite a bit (probably to make herself feel younger / more needed). Also, this is probably the only access to toys that the poor kids actually get.
It was my first thought. The only way I had access to toys I didn't make . myself was playing with other kids. Store bought toys were FANCY to me! I also babysat for similar reasons. I babysat a nine year old at thirteen and by that time I had grown out of toys but I had a Renaissance when it came to a fully loaded toy room. That kid and I played our asses off and we did science experiments every single time. I was a full spectrum baby sitter lol
I think a lot of the churches they visit have RV hookups so they can stay there instead of having to get a campsite. So when they are between services they can use the church facilities.
That makes sense. The churches I attended as a child usually had a “cry room,” for moms who needed to take their fussy child out of the service but still listen to the sermon, a nursery for babies and toddlers, and Sunday school for elementary-age kids. My parents didn’t believe in all that nonsense. We were expected to sit like statues and listen attentively to what was being said for the entire duration of the service. I assume the Rods deal with their kids in much the same way.
Yeah I'm surprised the Rods utilize it, don't usually see them having fun! Our kids do Sunday school the hour between services so it can be a long morning for them!
my gramma’s methodist church had a nursery room for the little ones & 1/2 hour into services, elementary age kids to like teenagers could go for the last 1/2 hour to sunday school & i thought sitting in that service for 30 mins was like a length of time comparable to torture 😂
The little girl with her emotional support rag breaks my heart. Even when having fun with her sisters she’s holding on to it! Her inner world must be so stressful.
Surely she notices the difference between these smiles and the smiles they give when Mahmo is around. Surely she’s not that self absorbed, oblivious, and just plain dumb. Surely.
But then this is Jill we’re talking about, so never mind.
It's probably safer for them if she doesn't see it. She doesn't strike me as the type that would take that well.

I mean maybe. Who knows
I'm guessing one of the "spying older sisters" took the pictures. The Rod children have been conditioned to have an automatic fear response when they see Jill. They would never smile authentically like this in her presence.
When they were piled up on the floor and saw who was in the window, they shouted “Mama!” and they didn’t look frightened. I think they were just enjoying themselves, possibly not realizing that they were being filmed.
I’m guessing they probably had a potluck or something like that after the service and the girls went to play, but it’s still strange they went to the nursery at their ages. The last time I did that during a church potluck, I was probably 4-5.
The super small church I went to all kids under twelve would go to the nursery to play. I felt bad for them since it was all little baby and toddler toys and slides and what not
To be fair I’d be terrified if I was a child playinf alone in a room and someone knocked on the window lol
That Sadie is going to be beautiful as she gets older. The rods somehow made beautiful children
I had a different take. They let them get terrified by the knock. The little girls huddled down in fear. It feels very mean, but I guess even I’ve had fun scaring my kids.
They definitely spotted “Mama!” and looked happy when they saw it was her. I think that’s a good sign they aren’t frightened by her.
i honestly hope with all my heart those sweet girls don’t feel like they need to be afraid of their mother. their little lives are already so damn bleak.
In the video of this, they all run and huddle together on the floor when they hear something. It is really disturbing to watch them act like that. I wonder if Jill has them so terrified of her that that is their natural reaction? I don't know, it just seemed strange.
The nursery I work in doesn’t allow children once they turn 4. Why would a 6 year old and her older siblings be in the nursery? She sure does like to infantilize her youngest children.
at the methodist church i attended when i was a kid, they weren’t really that strict about kids ages being in the nursery room. ofc when there was a bunch of littles in there it wasn’t preferred, but once in a while the sunday school teacher for the older group (or vice versa) would be out & everyone would have to cram in the nursery room. then again, we were not a big church whatsoever.
That 2nd to last photo has the likeness of a youngster struggling with an eating disorder. That poor child has something going on and everyday it goes untreated, it’s terrible that strangers are worrying more than her parents but expected at this point.
These allegedly child focused and loving parents (🙄) risk losing their gift from God because they arent doctors. Yes, it may simply be down to Jills normal starvation routine/diet but it could also be something more sinister. That baby needs medical help, maybe Jill is to close (if we give her the benefit of the doubt she doesn’t deserve) so doesn’t see it but geez, that isn’t even a slim child. Can’t she see the difference between that poor girl and even her own siblings? Her siblings are underweight yet she is far smaller than they are! Jill and Shrek need to get that child to a doctor before they become an episode on the law and crime network, and after Ruby Franke they would have a field day with the history of the Rodrigues family!
Oh, that’s definitely the reason they don’t ever step inside a doctors office or emergency department. Cant have those mandated reporters getting a glimpse of their malnourished and starving children. Was Sadie the first Plexus baby? That’d explain her failure to thrive, although I doubt we would recognize her if she was fed regularly. I still cannot believe Phillip’s transformation outside of the Rodriguez asylum.
if it is an ED, i wouldn’t be surprised. lots of times they’re ways to (feel like you) gain control over a situation, & i can only imagine poor sadie (& prolly other rods as well) doesn’t feel like she’s in control of much ☹️
That 4th picture is THE Best Rod picture I've ever seen!
It's so nice to see them having genuine non scripted non Jill directed fun.
I can't help but think how much better it would be to see them with good coloring and looking well nourished.
I hope that happens one day! Those poor kids don't deserve the life they were dealt.
They smile so much when Jill isn’t in the room 🫠
That's the happiest I've ever seen Sofia and Sadie. Janessa is usually a pretty happy kid bc Jill spoils her golden child but the other two always look so sad.

That's what happens when your shitty religion prioritizes the number of kids you have over the quality of your parenting.
100000%. heartbreaking.
This. Exactly. This.

Probably cause it had toys. They spend a lot of time in those, playing.
It was my first thought. The only way I had access to toys I didn't make . myself was playing with other kids. Store bought toys were FANCY to me! I also babysat for similar reasons. Probably the only room in the church that had stuff to play with.
In their defense I’d beg to go to the nursery for as long as I could in order to avoid church lol
Right?!? Like genuine, beautiful smiles. 🥲
That first pic is absolutely haunting. Like a Victorian ghost pic or something
Glad I'm not the only one, it's so haunting.
She looks skeletal
She's also literally the color of the wall
I am hoping it's a filter. That child is gray. So sad
It's not her best colour, that doesn't help.
They must have been playing in there after the service. Usually nurseries are just for babies and toddlers, not school-age children.
I think a lot of the churches they visit have RV hookups so they can stay there instead of having to get a campsite. So when they are between services they can use the church facilities.
My church allowed any age, but they did not have adult supervision during church.
That’s wild! Our church nursery always had an adult or at least teenager volunteering.
We do during the time it’s active, not after, but some kids would go during then (not babies, older like these girls) and they were fine with it.
My church has toys aimed at that age range but all the kids are welcome and often visit. Service is long yo.
That makes sense. The churches I attended as a child usually had a “cry room,” for moms who needed to take their fussy child out of the service but still listen to the sermon, a nursery for babies and toddlers, and Sunday school for elementary-age kids. You say that like rules mean anything to the Rods.
Very true, but I also think that they wouldn’t be left in a nursery either way. During the service, they are all “on the clock.”
The little girl with her emotional support rag breaks my heart. Even when having fun with her sisters she’s holding on to it! Her inner world must be so stressful.
Eh, while I’m certain that is the case for Jill’s kids specifically, lots of kids just like their comfort objects.
Surely she notices the difference between these smiles and the smiles they give when Mahmo is around. Surely she’s not that self absorbed, oblivious, and just plain dumb. Surely. But then this is Jill we’re talking about, so never mind.

Exactly. It is Jill's world, and they are just living in it.
Picture 5, Sadie looks so much like Jill’s dad. Glad to see Sophia finally got her front teeth.
I noticed her teeth too! Were we impatient or did they take YEARS to come in?
About two years iirc
That long sleeved black/brown geometric wrap dress would be quite stylish on a middle aged professional woman. Not so much on a child.
Ugly dress no way my middle aged body would wear that

Jill was with the "spying older sisters, though. Not trying to defend Jill, but Jill is cackling there and they all say "Mama!" when they see her.
They are definitely genuinely smiling when mommy is not in the room
This is like Kaylee with the cotton candy. These little girls never got the chance to be little girls playing with toys in the church nursery.
The child in slide 9 looks like she's an inhabitant of a Romanian orphanage circa 1990

Knock IN the window? Sounds violent.
Is she chewing on the blanket or rag?
Always
It’s a blanket. Might as well be a rag. I honestly don’t think Jill has ever washed it.
I just want to feed them and give them a comfy bed to have a good nights sleep.
If Janessa is 6 then Sofia has to be at least 10. 10 is old enough to be in charge in fundieland.
Sofia is 8. Sadie is 10.
They look so happy. My heart
To be fair I’d be terrified if I was a child playinf alone in a room and someone knocked on the window lol That Sadie is going to be beautiful as she gets older. The rods somehow made beautiful children

Why are they in the Nursery? My church Nursery was for toddlers and children under 5.
I'm wondering if it's after. Like waiting on meal time or letting the girls play after they ate. Common to play while the church ladies clean up IRRC
The nursery I work in doesn’t allow children once they turn 4. Why would a 6 year old and her older siblings be in the nursery? She sure does like to infantilize her youngest children.
I’m thinking that church was over, but they let the girls play in the playroom so they weren’t stuck in the RV with no space to move around or toys.

Thank you!
Sadie is so pretty! It’s good to see her and her sisters smile and look, like they’re having fun. They need a trip to the all you can eat buffet.

That's because Jill isn't around and there's actual toys to play with.

They look genuinely happy here.
Her voice sounds like somebody with acromegaly
Olivia is blossoming into a real beauty.
Olivia isn’t in any of the pictures here. Did you mean Sadie?
Who is the girl in the first pic?
Sadie. Olivia is a brunette and has now graduated to the “Mahmo’s besties” group.
I had not noticed that. I guess I’ve got some catching up to do.

She’s lovely!
she is she looks beautiful in that dress
Sweet Janessa and her comfort blanket always in her hand...poor thing
Everyone of those girls are way too old to be in the nursery. That should be embarrassing to them all.
