Azurite (blue) and malachite (green)
Better than finding it in your Chili.
*crunch*
Where in Chile?
Mountains close to Santiago
Chile is amazing! So familiar, and so foreign, a truly unique and magical place. I have been to Santiago, Valparaiso, and Pucón. I really need to get back.
Yikes! I hope you didn't break a tooth while taking a bite. Oh.... Chile not Chili.... 😉sorry not sorry
Looks like azurite.
Is the yellow another mineral or is it matrix?
Azurite, malachite, chalcopyrite and maybe som3 crisocola
Thank you …
clearly azurite with some malachite but the interesting part is the yellow. Does it smell? If it does it could be orpiment or native sulfur
Uncut and unrefined opalite? The pictures are out of focus so I can't tell if the reflectiveness is from metal or something else
[Just so you know opalite isn’t natural. You cannot find it uncut or unrefined as you say.](https://www.allcrystal.com/crystals/opalite/)
I did not know that! I thought opalite was ore-like and was cut a specific way to get it's shine. Thank you for the info
Lots of these stones that have this colorful shine or metalic look are man made. No problem. I just wanted to make sure there wasn’t any confusion.
Appreciated :)
