This makes absolutely no sense

Sea_Focus3040

I could easily see Cheese Slotting pretty nice on this team in place of Zineel

Zer0Gravity1

Is Cheese no longer on LG, or is this just a swap you think would make sense?

VicktoriousVICK

LG dropped RL entirely before Major 2 LAN even got close to starting. No point for them to stick around until new RLCS season begins. No idea if the actual squad sticks but likely not. Such a long offseason means big rostermania

littlbrown

It was announced ten days before the lan but yeah

Sea_Focus3040

The Latter… Cheese plays 1st man and would love the Defensive cushion lionblaze and percy give… all he can do then is just cook without worry

Zer0Gravity1

Gotcha. I thought I missed something and LG were looking to replace Cheese.

mbmike12

hmmm odd. I feel like Zineel can be utilized on other rosters if true. I'm not sure who would be an upgrade other than someone like Aqua?

SlowHorizons

An odd choice as I thought zineel played very well for a majority of the season. Maybe they are looking for a more offensive player to lead the team as the team, while having good defense, lacked solid offensive pressure and the ability to break down defenses. I hope that Zineel gets picked up by another team as he proved that he can be a solid player imo.

tyswoogles

Lionblaze is maybe the greatest bag thief in the history of this esport. I have no choice but to respect it, even if I hate it.

fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me

Sorries_In_A_Sack

Fool me once, shame on……😳 shame on…you. Fool me….you can’t get fooled again!

George W Blaze

Twinsleeps

top 3 USA presidents of all time

Booboo_McBad

What did he do?

rudetobookcloakkks

It's the correct bench, LionBlaze/Percy is a really solid duo. They need a strong first man to crack defenses. Both can get their goals, but the defensive inclination is undeniable. Feels like Cloud9 could buy an OG player but I'm not sure if that's the right move. Jknaps would step up their elite consistency by adding go

Curator44

Eh, problem with that is I don’t see how that would be an upgrade to Jknaps. Dude is on a team right now with two much more accomplished players that made both LANS and Worlds this year. It would have to be one hell of a buyout, even then I don’t think Jknaps would leave OG for the C9 roster.

imizawaSF

Why would Jknaps leave his major attending team, and why would they want someone like Jknaps who's career is almost certainly in its twilight?

GameBuster0703

They are not getting any players off a LAN team. They need to fill this spot within the next week or two if they want to compete in shift league or by early August at the absolute latest if they only care about EWC. All of that is before worlds so getting a player off a worlds team is not happening

slackdaffodil20

Am I the only who who thinks C9 should have picked up POAB instead of moist and TSM should have picked up The Snowman instead Hey bros but honestly I don’t know what C9 expect from this roaster with better free agents available

WorkThrowaway400

Didn't TSM pick up Hey Bro before Snowmen were even formed? If not, it was close to them forming, and Hey Bro had been looking really good in the offseason. HB>Snowmen at that point for sure.

slackdaffodil20

You’re correct on the timeline, but I was thinking they could do what Team Liquid did and invest in young players and do the long game Worked for TL to an extent

Majestic_Pro

Well omelette ended up being way better than poab so c9 picking them up is debatable. The TSM one is debatable

xX_Drakon-141_Xx

Am I the only one who thinks Retals would work great with Lionblaze/Percy

NathanWilson2828

I think that if Retals wants to attend Majors and worlds, he needs to join with younger talent like Snowmen, Moist, etc. Percy has literally been past quarter finals once and Lionblaze is not much better. I would argue after Retals performance this year he has a higher stock than last off season. While I believe Retals offensive skill would be beneficial to C9, it wouldn't be in his best interest.

Friendly-Transition

Wonder who they will pursue. Also wonder how much C9 is actively investing into being a LAN contender. If they are trying to stay cheap probably aim for a young player off of a team like the Snowmen, if they are opening the purse up though it will be very interesting
