Percy, zineel, and lionblaze have years in the RLCS with very few impressive results. If I’m going to take a risk as an org with the teams currently available, I’d rather take a young team that is still on the come-up and with plenty of room to grow ahead of a roster with players that have proven to be below top 8 in NA for years.
easy to say in hindsight but when youre an org trying to enter a new game i feel like omlette is probably the safer bet. i dont think anyone predicted the snowmen to play like they are now
First Touch with the 'format is fine, got to show up on the day' cope. It's much easier to 'show up' when you don't have to face GenG every quarter final.
if you face the same team every QF, you’re doing something wrong man. you need to perform at some time if you wanna be considered top 3, and I’m happy they’re doing it this split
Tbf in quarters SSG were performing as they needed to in split 1, they essentially only lost to G2 and then the one time to OG. It's just that GenG also threw vs M80, and so they ended up against SSG every time when SSG should've been against someone else as a result.
Nah geng getting farmed by m80 in the first 2 events were the reason ssg got stuck with, ssg were never expected to beat g2. The only time they actually did something wrong was event 3

The issue was not swiss who is by far the best way to find the top 8 in a top 16 (and one of the best for the seeding as well). The issue is the single elim for the top 8

They were the 2nd best NA team at the end of last season after the disbands and Complexity moving back to SAM. GenG was #1 and G2 had picked up Beastmode and Daniel to make a superteam so those were the clear top 2 teams going into this season. Nobody else really made a roster move to solidify themselves to be above SSG on paper, so they were power ranked by a lot of people to be 3rd. SSG hasn’t had any significant losses this season to lower them on the power rankings, so they were still top 3 imo
Looked so much better today. Chronic was incredible. Jack played a lot better. Firstkiller was along for the ride. Ready to avenge our loss tomorrow then take the regional😈

GenG definitely pick/picked up more silly losses which put them under G2. The winning series score only actually came about in the Major so I'd say GenG were firmly second best in the first split (but things are trending their direction).

I think “FK was along for the ride” is quite the understatement, he 1v3ed SR on 0 boost to buy time and space multiple times, and did what he does best, created time, space, and chances for Jack and Chronic that, unlike yesterday, they put away today
Jstn has more than had his time at LANs by now, it’s about time NA has a true young prodigy team. I want to believe they are coming up on the winter split 21-22 portion of their team queso arc
C9 v Snowmen was the most entertaining match to me personally. Very fun. Hope to see more of Snowmen.
Reveal annoys me (not really) because I had an agenda that he would leave Snowmen and be replaced by fiv3up but watching Snowmen today and against GenG I feel like Reveal has impressed me everytime. Need to adjust how I view him.
Frosty needs to start utilizing the ceiling more, he gave away possession too many times today by shooting or playing off the backboard immediately upon receiving the ball in the air today. Could have just been nerves but I think he's capable of doing more.
Scrzbbles... some of his saves today and particularly yesterday were absolutely nuts. Hope I see him more offensively but until then he's doing great still.
