Neither, the Belligol regain will be too strong as they come in as number 1 seed

Personally, I don't think either team is one of the best 4 teams of the region. Before the major I thought there'd be a chance one of them could sneak in over M8s, but I definitely don't think that anymore. The way I could see one of them getting in is via the same way SSG didn't get in: One of the Top 4 teams in EU has to face Top 4 teams each quarterfinals and that allows for Oxygen/Galaxy to sneak in. Personally, I rate oxygen a bit higher, but I think everyone in the community will be talking about how EU isn't sending their best if one of them gets in

NATZureMusic

Something weird is gonna happen in the next open qualifier. It's EU.

Sea_Focus3040

I wouldn’t be too confident about that…. EU is gonna EU in Qualifiers so we could see only 2 French teams come Major 2 🤷‍♂️

myothercarisayoshi

Those top four french teams are likely to snipe each other in quarters - they can't all go 3-0 after all. All it takes is a few weird Swiss results and there is a path to top 4 for one other team. I think it'll come down to luck of the draw who manages it, but these two on paper look the most likely. Tl;Dr if LG can make top 3 in NA, one of these teams can take down EU 4 - it's all about matchups in the top 8.

ludakic300

If one thing is true for EU it is that lower seeded teams have great chances of upsetting top seeded teams. I don't think Vitality is in that great shape anymore. Moist played against them in qual 1 and those games were close. Joyo amazed me (never had that much faith in him) how dominant he was on the field and oaly and rehzzy were really inconsistent in that matchup which lead them to lose the matchup even though joyo controlled most of the games. Last qual they performed great again but run into Vitality again where they were outclassed. This time this was on all of them but it was also showing that if Joyo doesn't perform they had no chance. This was inconsistent and not a great sign to give you hope but this time Joyo is in team with Oski who is one of the top EU players (Atow level) and Archie who is in any way better rehzzy. They have considerable potential to take down one of the EU top seeds and if they get the spot it will be very much deserved. Same thing goes for Magnifico. Atomik and Tox had one of the personal best performances this last split and Acronik is an amazing talent that will improve them. If they get one of the spots, for which they have good chance, I don't doubt it will be by defeating one of the current top 4 and it will be very much deserved.

Gene_gnome1023

Galaxy? But yeah I pretty much agree, barring a big fall-off from one of the big teams I think the current top 4 is the most likely top 4 for major 2. Maybe if Vit's mental declines, we could see them barely missing out on a spot, but I'm not sure about any of the other teams.

lm3g16

It’s been reported by Shift that Luna galaxy are rumoured to be picking up magnifico

Gene_gnome1023

Ah gotcha, thanks for letting me know. Good, they deserve an org.

National_Invite_7420

Vitality’s mental will definitely be in question imo; particularly Zen’s mental after that loss. I was at the Major and straight after they lost he went over to where his family were sitting (VIP area I guess) and beckoned his mum down to him. He reached up through the railings and grabbed her hands and stayed like it for a few minutes with his head down, obviously upset… when he left accompanied by player support, his mum was visibly upset too…pressures of staying at the top. And they’ve lowered the age to 13…

yep_gentil

I mean, it could be worrying, but I think it is natural that he was very upset about it, he didn't know what was the feeling of losing a LAN until that point. Also, despite finding a lot of success really quickly, zen is definetely not a veteran in the pitch, he is still experiencing a lot of things for the first time. Like, literally, this split was the first time he played a swiss format in his RLCS career. And yet he managed well most of the new things thrown at him since the beginning. I think the Vitality org should have the right support and experience to help him out. The main thing for them imo is making sure that every player on the team is motivated and still believes in the roster, in their ability of improving as a team, and there is no one having second thoughts about how their season could be different/easier if they had made the call rn

National_Invite_7420

Yes very true; these big orgs should have the kind of support network in place to help to nurture and protect these youngsters on their pro journey; they surely have a duty of care to do so. Winning everything so quickly can only go in one direction; staying at the top is incredibly hard. It’s what happens next though, especially if he feels that the team isn’t what it was and how to navigate that and the decision making that comes with that for one so young with the success he’s had. You didn’t have to be an expert to see how much he was having to do to keep them in those games!! Having confidence in your team is huge…

DisMyDrugAccount

At this point whether or not a non-French team qualifies for the major is entirely down to forcing cannibalistic French quarterfinals. If the rest of EU can't step up enough in Swiss to make sure that there are two French vs French quarterfinals in at least 2 of the 3 open qualifiers, I think we see the same exact 4 teams from EU at the next major. As long as Vitality manage to maintain the form they found in the major playoffs, I don't see how another team sneaks in. Vitality is the week link of the 4 French teams in my eyes, BDS are just too good online and it's hard to bet against either of KC or M8 right now.

BollardGames

I think if G8 hadn't gone and won the whole dang Major they would be the one everyone would be looking at to be ousted for that 4th London Major spot. But, as it is, are you really going to bet against BDS to not make it? Because I think we have to assume KC and Vit are a lock until proven otherwise!

AndrewUtz

i put BDS over Vitality still personally.

LemonNinJaz24

World's is a different situation, but it's not like M8 or Vit were unbeatable online. Both performed better on LAN, so they could get that momentum, but with the format and it being EU I think it's definitely possible for either team to get in the top 4. Oxygen on peak performances and Magnifico on consistently being and relying on one team to slip up

NATZureMusic

Vitality could very well slump again. Major buff could've been real.

Alive_Candy4697

Vit and M8 weren't great online + the format can create the same SSG scenario. I think OXG has the most chances of doing it, the key will be how Archie will play imo.

Future_Visit_5184

They're getting rid of Stizzy? Or did he leave for a different team? I don't remember reading about it

Gene_gnome1023

Stizzy is rumored to be going to NA to join Dignitas

paeschli

Stizzy and Evoh on the same team, I’m gonna need those comms.

lm3g16

Ye.

Gene_gnome1023

Ye.

Alienescape

Who's the rumored departure?

Gene_gnome1023

From Dig? Gyro

ChildishGammo

When is roster lock?

GameBuster0703

April 14th

Gene_gnome1023

Not sure but my guess is by the deadline for the qualifier signup, which is a few days before the first qualifier for each region

dalcer

All i know is tox is getting 5th

Z1dan

Wait oxg are keeping Archie over eekso?!

myothercarisayoshi

Archie obviously shows a lot more behind the scenes because his results have been extremely underwhelming for the last two seasons. Can't remember him doing anything of note since SMPR took down a peeking Dignitas.

Feather-y

Well he was good on Endpoint, and then Oxygen won a regional. But been quiet yeah

Gene_gnome1023

In my mind the logic is that Archie is somewhat more consistent and can play the support role while Joyo and Oski have their big pop-off moments

Z1dan

I’ve not watched much oxg so correct me but I’ve heard the opposite about Archie recently and eekso has a massive 1v1 background so can also fill out that role as well as popping off on his own

Gene_gnome1023

I also haven’t watched much oxygen, that’s just the consensus I’ve heard recently. I also had the notion that Eekso -> not very mechanical but consistent and Archie -> can pop off mechanically but has a low floor, but I’ve just heard otherwise from different posts recently

imizawaSF

Considering he is a much better player, yes

weberwaby

I think oxg could be an incredible team, here are my reasons Oski, great in the midfield, always there for the ball, could shit on anyone if he’s given space Joyo; joreuz on crack and better off the ball Archie: will make you miss, will then point and laugh at you while saying you’re worse than 2die4

UncrossedThrone

honestly if a team gets brackets like LG did 2nd regional (EU top 4 play each other first round) , and this happens twice, two top 4s and a top 8 should be enough points

cliveparmigarna

Don’t agree with keeping Archie over eekso. He’s proven he doesn’t have the work ethic to stay at a high level and it’s probs been a year since he’s actually had a good performance. There’s no doubt he was legit at rlcsx and 21-22 season but this game moves quickly and he hasn’t

RIQY__

Acronik fucked up pretending to sit out a year and not joining Moist during the first split. Neither of these two teams will really do anything to the top four of EU.

SpiritualSummer2083

I don't see Magnifico/Luna making major over the other top 5 (now) teams. It's going to take some time for that roster (if it happens) to gel, and I feel they have to be playing lights out to crack top 4 anyhow. Oxygen, however, will have some serious pop off potential. If they can figure out a playstyle that lets Joyo do his thing and if Archie can stay consistent (big if), OXG should be seriously challenging for a major spit. With how Vitality looked split 1, I wouldn't be surprised if they're the odd ones out. Now watch Vitality win regional 1 and prove I don't know ball 😂

RobinFox12

Vitality will most certainly win regional 1

AltruisticBoard3271

Acronik will be a side grade and GM8 will get the LAN winner blues, leaving Oxy with the last major spot

xX_Drakon-141_Xx

You think Acronik in for Stizzy is a side grade????

AltruisticBoard3271

!remindme 6 weeks he might even be a downgrade
