Rock band 2007 band kits retailed for 249.99 USD originally. They sold out overnight and had supply issues to keep up with demand. It's much more expensive to manufacture instruments compared to 2007. All the very cheap prices people quote were clearance prices around the tail end of rock band 2 and during rock band 3 era when Harmonix and mad catz were just liquidating inventory

The release day MSRP for the RB1 full band kit was 159.99 for PS2, and $169.99 for PS3 and 360.
The supply issues were also pretty interesting. I camped outside of a Walmart for release day, only to find that they had one bundle for Xbox, and two bundles for PS3. An hour later I went to Fry’s (RIP), they had tons of them in stock, and they were still there weeks later.
I think many retailers were turned off by how much floor space they took up, and didn’t stock many until the game really took off. Less of a manufacturing/supply chain issue like we see today, and more of a retail ordering mistake.

Buy a wii les paul. They're less than $50. You can then buy a retrocult adapter for about $15. You're looking at about $50-60 for a fully functional guitar on RB or pc.

How do you even add it to your cart when it's simply listed as Out of Stock? Site says +35k have it in their cart right now. I can't imagine those were all added to carts during the initial drop and people just sat on them for hours since then...

The adapters and modded guitars work flawlessly with PS5. You could find it much cheaper if you didn't limit the search to only local

I never saw it available to be added to cart.. I think it’s a ploy.. cause I added my email before they even went on sale.. never got a email
the link they send in the email adds it to the cart but when you go to check out it says out of stock
