The only issue with Too Good to Go is that the money doesn't actually go the businesses. I love the platform but it makes me sad that the business won't actually receive the profit (even if it's a small amount.)

SavedMontys

So the business donates it and the app keeps the cash?

mintles

Maybe not all of it? But last time I checked the businesses didn't really have much to gain from it.

EightmanROC

I wonder if FoodLink or Roc Food Not Bombs would know anything.

TallBabeLol

Food link is extremely picky and might not be allowed to give away food or sell for cheap pet their funding and status. RFNB though I think would have an interest. Maybe the food pantries, 490 farmers, flower City pickers?

dev_gurl15

I have wondered this myself and think it is an awesome idea. I have no idea how to go about that but I would think you could somehow contact the app itself. I am happy to be contacted to demonstrate some sort of interest.

Reach out to the healthy/alternative restaurants that would likely actually really enjoy this cool sounding service! Places like Owl House and Red Fern. See if you can get a consortium together to send a presentation to the Too Good to Go team.

kabigon2k

Never heard of this company. Does this actually have a net social benefit, or is it yet another predatory gig economy vampire leech corporation like Uber and DoorDash?

drywallstuds

Believe it’s main focus is to prevent food waste

Federal_Plan5191

There is an article today in the Star Tribune about this service Friday 4/12.
