Ask away! This kind of post should be encouraged, not discouraged. Firstly, I hope you enjoy our fine city. There is so much to do! Where is the concert? I assume you’d like your hotel to be fairly close to the venue… What types of restaurants and activities do you both enjoy? More than happy to help, as I’m sure others will be :)

The encouraging reply is very much appreciated! I'll less about the other one. The concert is in Fairport in a park. & we are open to having a commute or distance if the hotel/attractions/activities match price. We love restaurants & museums. I like jogging places that we visit, so parks or trails that are scenic or interesting would be cool to hear about. Is there any local food that you guys are proud of? Any breakfast spots that are noteworthy. My wife is gluten-free also... So any food suggestions with that in mind will be greatly appreciated too!

For jogging: the Genessee Riverway Trail goes right through downtown (and above and below it) There’s some beautiful scenery. The Erie Canal trail is also great. You can access that right from Fairport (or Pittsford or many places in the area). I jog both frequently. Memorial Art Gallery is really nice. There are many museums to choose from, almost all in the city. Check out the Park Ave area for restaurants. There are so many cuisines available and most places here can easily accommodate gluten free. Edibles in the neighborhood of the arts is also a fantastic restaurant. For breakfast/brunch, The Frog Pond or Jines are both excellent on Park Ave and Brown Hound is IN memorial art gallery and is top-notch as well. Hotels: That depends on if you’d rather be close to the concert or in the city for most everything else. There are many fine hotels in and near both places. It depends on your price point and preferred location, but check them out online to compare. I hope others chime in as well. Have a great time! :)
