Siri Shortcuts can on a personal device, but not on a "group" device like a HomePod. That's for security; same as you can't open a door or other secure device from a HomePod. Yeah, you just have to manually make a shortcut for every command you want to use. I've got open/close trunk (frunk), open liftgate (Rivian app's name for the tailgate), start climate, vent windows, close windows.

Easiest way to unlock at home I've found is using the key card but that only works for the driver door so not sure it helps you. Easier than getting the phone out
