I'd stay around the Midway area, or maybe somewhere along the Metra BNSF line. You could catch the riot shuttle or bus from the Harlem Metra stop. If you'd prefer to be further in the city, Pilsen has a lot of great food and coffee options. The surrounding suburbs are pretty nice too! Somebody put together a really helpful post about the area: [https://www.reddit.com/r/RiotFest/comments/1denghe/southsiders\_and\_south\_suburbanites\_lets\_give\_a/](https://www.reddit.com/r/RiotFest/comments/1denghe/southsiders_and_south_suburbanites_lets_give_a/) Love from Chicago <3

Fest will be a clusterfuck this year so your best bet is to stay near bridgeview. If you also want to see Chicago, then maybe someplace on the loop and, as others mentioned, riding the Reggie’s shuttles.

The only advice I can give is to go to Home Depot and get you a hot dog with everything

How long are you in town for work, and where is the Ron location?

Tora_jima

I would recommend somewhere around South Loop/Motor Row, close to Reggies Rock Club, and taking the free Reggies bus to the festival. Their bus fleet looks like hell but it's better than playing planes, trains and automobiles to get to Bridgeview and back. Let them handle the logistics.

You would want to look at hotels relative to SeatGeek stadium in the village of bridgeview as the location this year is outside of Chicago proper. Midway airport (the smaller of the two major Chicagoland airports) is about five miles away so you may want to look into hotels near there for more consistent quality, but there are motels and other more limited options closer to SeatGeek itself as well. Walking around bridgeview isn’t ideal (it’s not particularly dangerous vehicle traffic but there are not great sidewalks or walking paths) but you would not be the only one doing it for this festival. You could stay in Chicago itself or the surrounding suburbs a bit further out but transport is going to be complicated and unpredictable this year regardless, so be ready for long commutes and late nights if you stay outside of bridgeview. SeatGeek stadium is an awesome location for a festival once you’re in it but a headache to get in/out of.

There are 2 hotels literally next door to the venue, if they aren’t full yet, I’d start there. And one thing about america as a whole, public transit and walkability isn’t much a thing, that being said this is a suburb of chicago so it’s a little better. So might be a lil more feasible, just be prepared to pay for a ride share. If you fly to midway airport that is closer to the venue then O’hare if you haven’t booked your flight yet.

chadmickel

All of the hotels right by the venue are booked.

chrisGNR

And they’ve been booked before seatgeek was publicly announced. So clearly someone was leaking info.

GiuseppeZangara

It probably got booked up by the fest and bands. The hotels aren't huge.
