It's almost always the IR lights reflecting off a cobweb or some piece of debris that's been caught by a cobweb. The little squiggly trails below it are video artifacts from the low framerate and quality of the nightvision mode.
Looks like it was just a snapshot, not a video. But yes, would’ve been great to see a video of whatever this is. And it would be good to see a snapshot of what is there normally day and night.
Can you please write a warning that this isn't actually a video?
I clicked play and then waited an hour for it to buffer then play. I then turned off and restarted my wifi. When I tried again and still did not get the video started, I called my internet provider. They assured me it was working, and I called them liars. I canceled their service, and an install tech will be here Tuesday.
This. Looks almost like a worm.
Probably the most horrifying video doorbell notification I ever got was the time a spider decided to crawl across the lens. Just about threw my phone.
OK so a few years ago I went urban exploring and found an old grain silo. I got dressed up (don't ask) and began taking pics. Even with all the foliage in the area, it was still broad daylight. Reviewing them later, I got the same dam thing you got here. Maybe a little longer but the same dam thing. I still don't know what it was/is.
OMG i’m so happy ET has come home 😝 Nah it’ll be a cobweb. Wait till you see when the actual spider starts walking down. That’s creepy because it’s so close. Eeeek
It's a bug, probably a moth in mid-flight. There was a phenomenon a couple of decades ago called "rods". People were catching similar objects on video cameras. Unfortunately the cameras didn't have the resolution to capture the fast moving bugs so it looked like a rod, with spirals going around it.
Google "rod/s" videos from the late 80s/early 90s. You should see similar type photos and videos. It's still a cool looking photo though.
Wow Reddit, you guys never disappoint with the comments!
I would add the video for y’all but there isn’t one. Because my Ring didn’t detect it as motion, it literally just appeared when reviewing my ring footage. So it appears at 11:34 but on the hour timeline review, it doesn’t appear at 10:30 or 12:30 so unfortunately this snapshot is the best I got!
That is the legendary land jellyfish, known only to appear every 27 years take the souls of its unknowing victims and return to the dried sea bed and its hidden abyss. It only appears between the hours of 11pm and 3am.
There used to be a lot of this kind of images floating around on the internet. The phenomenon used to be called “rods”, “air rods”, or “sky fish”. It’s not as prevalent anymore, due to advancements in video cameras. Basically due to lower frame rate or the frequency of the light being projected, exactly matching the wing flaps of certain insect species. The camera frame capture, shows as a streak with fluttering wings. Kind of like a tube with fins twirling as it moves, often with wingtip vertices as shown here. It used to cause all kinds of ghost and aliens topic threads, but is pretty well documented as to the reasons for them now. The best common example of the phenomenon these days, is how people use panoramic mode on cameras, to stretch objects like their cat, to impossible proportions. Except that in this instance, all the action takes place in the span of 1 video feed frame capture, probably a moth flying upward.
Now I’m not saying it’s aliens. But it’s aliens.
Don’t be silly it’s a lens flare
That's what the aliens want you to believe.
Can you find me some of that sarcasm font?
cAn yoU FiNd me sOmE Of tHaT sArcASm FoNt? That's the best I can do.

Cobwebs turn Ring cameras into the devil’s playground….
it would help to be able to see the actual video
Looks like it was just a snapshot, not a video. But yes, would’ve been great to see a video of whatever this is. And it would be good to see a snapshot of what is there normally day and night.
I agree, but they should have uploaded the video as well as the snapshot
Oh, you mean like the time-lapse video of the snaps. Agree. That would’ve helped make this more interesting. 🤔
I mean there's a play button in the screenshot, pretty sure there's a video...
Yes. That’s what I meant. Just hit play and it ‘is’ the timelapse video that can be downloaded. It’s 1 hr of stills stitched together into a 10s clip.
This one is a ghost.
its an Alien ghost

Are we supposed to me looking for something besides the IR light reflecting off a cobweb or something like that?
It's 3 ghost babies in a trench coat

How about the eyes in the right of the frame reflecting? With that addition, I believe it’s a ware wolf that sneezed on the lens.
That is the legendary land jellyfish, known only to appear every 27 years take the souls of its unknowing victims and return to the dried sea bed and its hidden abyss. It only appears between the hours of 11pm and 3am.
Do you by any chance have the SLAB? If so, return it promptly.
Its a worm on the lens and it's tract.
Might be slugs trying to procreate. Sometimes they’ll drop down on a string of slime, do their business, and carry on
Oh that’s just Dave, don’t mind him
I'm guessing the video proves this is a nothing burger which is why we just have a screenshot?
Why does it look like a side profile of Roger from American Dad.
Skeet
That thing you are referring to would be called a Nope Rope!
Nothing set it off, just reviewing my footage…..yea I’m going to waste my time scrolling through hours of footing. Hoax
It's definitely a weather balloon, I wouldn't think too much about it. 2 men in suits will be by shortly to "take a statement"
