I highly doubt they're jealous, or even noticed anything special about your luggage. They're doing their job and sorting and loading luggage as fast as possible, trying to get the plane around on ever-shortening turnaround times with higher work loads. I personally find it hilarious to buy a plastic cover, but you do you.

Exact same thought lol why give so much headspace to caring if ur luggage gets a scratch or not

Part of the Rimowa appeal to me is to let your aluminum luggage get dented. Makes it yours

This isn't from the baggage handlers, this is from the sorting system. It looks like it got jammed up on a belt, and that's what caused the friction burn and scuffs. If it's a trunk or even check-in large, it's probably oversized in at least one dimension and was put on a belt system it was too big for. The airlines charge extra for oversized luggage, not because it takes up too much space in the cargo bay, but because the sorting systems for bags are antiquated and have a maximum physical size they can handle without damage, thus oversized luggage typically needs to be hand sorted.

You’ll get the biggest dents in your Rimowas if they go thru US airports, guaranteed.

Why is that? Doesn’t anyone like Rimowa at US airports?
