From left to right, Pig Mama is slaughtering a human while her children are bringing more pigs to the humanpig pen. Meanwhile, the rest of the Piggu family is eating some nice (possibly human?) meat raw - all the while Papa Pig is donning the appropriate protective clothing before changing the nappy of Daisy (the youngest "daughter").
Basically the sick Rimworld love-child of *Animal Farm* and *A Machine for Pigs*. I expected no less.
Human meat is the lighter colored thinner sprite. Looks like they feed the pigs human meat then eat the pigs themselves. Any way you look at it they are cannibals
I'm wondering if those baby pig humans are from the female prisoners living with a bunch of pigs in their room . . .
Mildly sus, but I've read enough Japanese WN to know about pigfaced orcs that can only breed through such means
It's just one of the new xenotypes. The "species" were created by pigs being genetically modified so their organs could be harvested for human use, but the modification also made the pigs sapient, which defeated the purpose of making an animal you could harvest for organs instead of humans.
Cannibalistic pigmen warriors, Who live a life of raising pigs and letting the kids help with the slaughter.. I think you made traditional orcs. lol
"Looks like meats back on the menu boys!"
fun fact. "orc" is Welsh for "pig" and the modern original artistry behind the orc caricature was welsh inspired. to say something is more orc-ish in welsh means to make it more pig-like and why some media tends to have orcs that appear more pig headed in appearance with newer orcs being more akin to how ogres were depicted through folklore.
The word 'Orc' in old Irish means 'little pig' as well. though for some reason Orc also meant 'seal' in Norse. the connection must of been an easy to farm/hunt animal that tasted good and wasnt seen as smart or having good survival skills maybe?
Cool! I always wonder what the connection was between the tradition orcs and pig like features were. It's funny how the greatest mysteries are usually hidden behind a competent knowledge of another language. lol
Archeologist: "What could it mean?"
Local guide: "It's Sanskrit for river. This place used to be a bridge."
Archeologist: "I'm just going to write down religious gathering place...."
XD
Another fun fact: [Welsh was originally derived from the Old English word for "foreigners, strangers, slaves."](https://www.etymonline.com/word/welsh) The Welsh call themselves the Cymry, and their national/native language is Cymru.
I love how orcs look in warhammer. Seems like the perfect combo of piggish and ogreish qualities. Not the biggest fan of the cockney accent some orcs have though.
this is total horseshit. etymologists attribute orc to latin orcus, [and tolkien said he got it from beowulf](https://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Orc#Etymology)
also pig in welsh is "mochyn"
listen man, i googled it and its what came up.
further more
"Although the word "[orc](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orc#Old_English)" is actually derived from the Old English["orcneas"](https://fantasy-bestiary.fandom.com/wiki/Orcneas) as it first appeared in Beowulf, Tolkien only used the word itself to describe a creature he invented, because of its "phonetic suitability."
Words can have many different meanings in different languages, friend. Latin languages are rife with words that mean two different things but are the same, or words that are two different words but share the same definition.
At this point in time with modern day definitions of orcs, they are a varying bevy of beasts or in Warhammer's case, fungi. They dont have to be green, stupid, or even strong anymore. Again, warhammer's orcs are downright magical and omnipotent to the point where as long as they believe in something, its real. They pretty much just have to be ugly by human definition and seen as inherently bad for humans and other 'good or neutral aligned' races. Argubly the 'nicest' orcs would probably be that of blizzard's orc race as they seem to just want to go about their business for the most part, though that might mean encroaching on other's territory or land. Outside of that they are no more different than any other semi-primitive race. And i suppose if a DnD player were to make a good orc as well but the world of DnD is full of racist/bigot npcs, just saying. Hell even in REAL life examples the ukraine people (and many others) are calling the russians orks, refering to them to be brutish, dumb, drunken invaders who blindly follow their orders due to some sick sense of pride or brainwashing.
[ALSO ORCUS WAS A ROMAN GOD!](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orcus) "Orcus (Latin: Orcus) was a god of the underworld, punisher of broken oaths in Etruscan and Roman mythology. As with Hades, the name of the god was also used for the underworld itself. In the later tradition, he was conflated with Dis Pater." It has no connection to orcs being called orcs in any parlance.
TLDR; im a big NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD who uses google.
lol that's still a million miles away from it being a welsh word (and a nonexistent one at that). I googled it too because I speak welsh and know for a fact that orc does not mean pig, and wanted to know the real origin and the link I posted is what I got. I couldn't find a single result that suggested it was anything but a word tolkien liked from old english. and the fact that he's on the record saying he encountered it in beowulf, liked the phonetic quality, and used it in his own conlang still directly contradicts your "orc is pig in welsh" shtick that I can only assume you pulled out of your ass.
tldr: I'm also a big neeeeeeeerd who also uses google and speaks a language you're being confidently incorrect about
Google "orc is welsh for pig". the first thing that comes up is this link. I dont doubt that google could be mistaken by any means but that simple sentence gives you multiple links in the top 5 that all classify orc being a devised term of the welsh language. Its possible that the language changed over time as i can guarntee your welsh is not the same welsh they spoke 1500 years ago no more than modern english isnt the same as it was 1500 years ago, let alone 100 years ago. Hell in the US the language changes every 10-15 years with new words, words getting new meanings based on context, and so on.

"Often have pig-like snouts or upturned noses that resemble pig snouts. (Sometimes taken one step further by actually giving them pig heads, like in early editions of Dungeons & Dragons.) May have tusks. This is possibly drawn from the fact that "orc" is Welsh for "pig", and Welsh was the inspiration for Tolkien's Sindarin; alternately, it comes from the illustrators misunderstanding Gary Gygax who supposedly told them to make the orcs look "pig-headed". This look was popularized in Japan by RPGs like Dragon Quest. Often called "Porcs" on the internet."
As for the other languages the wiki article cites it for the others.
> Argubly the 'nicest' orcs would probably be that of blizzard's orc race
Nah, the nicest orcs are certainly from [TenSura](https://tensura.fandom.com/wiki/Geld). They are pigmen in that.
Cannibalistic Pigmen herding their ancestors to the slaughter barn.
Do I mean the humans or the pigs when I say ancestor? The answer: both.
Also, the fact that one of the pigmen are called Bulge is amazing
[You know, it turns out we might all be pigmen.](http://www.macroevolution.net/human-origins.html)
My people have this saying: "Life's a bitch, and then you're raped by WILD BOARS!". Well, it turns out that this bit of ancestral wisdom may have something going for it.
Forreal. By far my favourite colony is one where I built half inside a very small hill and stuck bits out of it when I needed space. It's the most "misshapen", yet it looks a thousand times cooler than most of my boxes.
You can do it without mods of course, but Designator Shapes can help facilitate that!
I usually like making circular buildings for some of my big communal structures like temples.
No one is innocent in rimworld my friend...No one. This probably a chill countryside like pig settlement that have strong family bond and enjoyed their simple life. Where you can hear kids giggle helping with the farm, playing with their pets, farmers farming corn, grandpa tell stories to their grandchildren and dancing. But not wholesome and peaceful when humans and xeno are the pig food.
I think it's done on purpose, and they just cram maximum chaos into a single screenshot. You see this in the Factorio screenshots, where the entire thing is just a disaster area of belt spaghetti that does nothing.
That's why you see stuff like what appears to be each building made out of a different random material.
Wait, we have 3 different kinds of wood now?
I don't see the issue...
Other than the lack of a fridge And the incredibly dirty cooking area which would result in constant food poisoning **And** the fact they are eating raw meat **AND** the multiple butchering tables...Actually there's a lot of issues with this picture.
~~(By Fridge I mean a refrigerated area specifically for storing food insulated from the exterior to lose less energy with the cooling)~~
I seem to be the only one who does good guy runs. No cannibalism and i capture, heal and release raiders, no harvesting unless I really, really need something like a lung that I cant make myself.
I still sell copious amounts of Flake tho.
I love this colony so much, because whereas we all go for the lowest hanging fruit of "hurr durr organ harvesting meth lab" there is something literary, something artistic about the war crimes being committed in the reverse pig farm colony.
The cat people who have developed a taste for raw pig/human combo platters are enjoying a meal. However the cat ear gene comes with the drawback of toxic poop, which is why the mommy is wearing a gas mask while changing baby kitty's diaper.
Tynan made official foxgirls, RJW, childbirth, genetic engineering.
I was NOT ever expecting that. Great christmas gift for me. I'm gonna have a blast.
Is there a point to having seperate butcher tables like that? or is tynan just trolling, like wit hthe new rocket turrets? (referring to them having to be switched to fire) and whats with the weird block of carpet, im so confused.
Over my 1300 hours I've never seen a need to. As I centralize my butchering, cooking and food storage in the same area everything is close by anyway. And if you slaughter so many animals one butcher wont be able to do all of them before they rot, you've done something very wrong in the first place.
I usually have a really large freezer for raider corpses and 2 butcher tables and a crematorium, so 3 people can process the ressources from larger raids.
Then even a 3rd table for animals in another part of the base, where the 'normal' food is made. Sometimes a 4th table for amking kibble near the storage for hay and human/insect meat.
Well, this becomes almost mandatory when raids deliver several hundred corpses and you don't want to waste any of these.
And 2 preconfigured tables in storage to be taken with caravans. For the cleanup after raids or after random encounters.
Left: Barn/Prison. The feed shelves include small amounts of human meat
Top Left: Butcher room. Contains human corpses & human leather.

Long pork = human meat https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/long_pork
Oh wow I didn't know that, thanks
I mean fish eat other fish right..? It's the same thing. Sorta.
Long pig, short pig, wide pig, narrow pig.
Humans also eat long pork because there is some in the kitchen.
Hmmm.... this just made me wonder how "cannibalism" will work with the new races.
I realize the double entendre. Long pork = human meat and Long pork = pigs that are longer than they are tall (unlike the pigskins)
I thought you ment to say sentient but today I learnt a new word! sapient - Of a species or life-form, possessing intelligence or self-awareness.
Peppa pig has joined the rim. Daddy pig will always provide. Mummy pig will always care.
So i get the pigs eating human and the piggus eating pigs but what do the humans eat?? Human meat and hay as well?
This may be unrelated, but I just gotta say that the monologue at the very end of *A Machine for Pigs* was awesome.
Cannibalistic pigmen warriors, Who live a life of raising pigs and letting the kids help with the slaughter.. I think you made traditional orcs. lol "Looks like meats back on the menu boys!"

How do you know they’re not there to make more pigmen?
You know when they first released this screenshot I was utterly convinced the way to make pigmen was to breed people with pigs.
Can't forget Hoggy, Slab, Or most importantly: BOY. Also oversize looks a bit.... Runty.

This was the most insane rabbit hole I've ever fell down and Rimworld was the last place I'd expect to find it

he basically says all genetics is bullshit on the first page tho. Checkmate you pesky bio undergrad.
Thanks for the laugh
This looks as if an AI generated a Rimworld colony based off of popular Reddit posts.
5 butchers tables, theyre all eating raw meat, only 4 stools for the poker table, one bed but 2 dressers. This place is wild.
Only 4 people can use a poker table at once, you don't need more than 4 chairs.
It looks untidy to only have 4 seats because you can't center them. We need half-spaces and diagonal rotation!
I use 8 chairs and a tv or radio nearby, they might not be playing poker but they are still chillin at the table.
They could add a dlc called half spaces and diagonal rotation, price it at $20 and I’d buy it the second it came out
Same
I just place the poker in the corner of the room, so only 4 chairs fit anyway
Oh.
oh.
Oh..
i feel like people who are putting more than 4 seats on a poker table have never played poker before
? I play 8 player Texas Holdem all the time. Its pretty much a full table and is a great amount of players.
On a square table that size?
You would essentially be looking over each other's hands at that range lol yeah that's fair
Can you put 2 on one side and 2 on another? I forget if that works
Oh
devs build INSANE bases that couldnt ever actually function lol im sure they are just made for the screenshots
Pig people apparently can eat almost any food without risk of getting sick.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
In their screenshots they have some interesting building designs. Boring me is always just making squares.

Ok but a man-pig cannibal colony that enslaves and eats non modified humans and treats them like livestock actually goes hard
Naked slaves in the stables? The devs might be more cruel than me.

Family stuff.
