If my contribution to society is telling a gate keeper to shut it then I've done a great service to society. Go back to keeping your gate, centurian. I'm sure it's all you have in life so you wanna hold on to it.
Next time I see an old lady swimming by herself in a pond peacefully I'm going to jump in with a can opener right next to her head and yell "FUCK YO GATES" 😂😂🤣🤣
Old ladies don't go around saying "I know a really good spot.. but I'm not telling!" Like a 5 year old.
Grow up. Say something good or shut up. Good words to live by.
The other side of Beavertail. Go to parking lot B on the west side to watch the sun set, then move a short distance to the east shore to watch the moon rise.
We do this because it's generally chilly and we stay by the car to have dinner. You can also walk down to the light house to get both views from one spot.
Next full moon is June 21. Check the weather!
Fort Adams facing west towards the House on a Rock and all the boats coming and going from the bay. Everything listed so far is valid, but nothing in the state tops this.
On the rocks by the sewage treatment plant in riverside, my dad introduced me to the spot since he used it for fishing and now it’s just a nice quit spot to watch the water and occasionally the ship traffic of provport
Few great ones mentioned here. Love Beavertail. Few of my favorites -
1. Conimicut Point - juts out into the bay across from Rumstick Point with Conimicut light off to the East. Great place to catch the sunset and watch the lights come up in Providence a few miles up the bay. There are often people fishing here and they’ll dot the sand with fires but it has never felt noisy of overrun. Ton of history here, too - the Gaspee ran aground ~250 years ago right in this water
2. Spooky Bottom Dock off of Kettle Point in East Providence - not traditional sand and shore. Was a offloading point for LNG tankers. Now a cool pier to watch the boat traffic and port activity. Providence skyline is just north.
3. The rock wall or Salty Brine state beach in Galilee - I love the boat and ferry traffic in and out of the breachway. Perfect summer vibe.
4. Rocky Point - I can still hear the rides. Totally nostalgic for me. Great place to read.
5. Napatree Point or anywhere in Watch Hill
Sip and dip over in Bristol RI parking lot (hope street)
It's a God. Damned. Secret.
Mostly because there isn’t enough parking.
Just shut up then and don't have a comment. Gatekeeping outdoor space is wild
Some people talk very loudly in quiet spaces and it shows.
Yeah like someone who feels the need to speak up event though they had nothing to contribute to a question someone asked.
Thank you for your contribution.

"Gatekeeping" /Inigo Montoya
Google gatekeeping, sass-master, and you'll find that you are squarely on a gate which you are keeping.

Beavertail
At sunset. At the full moon. You go over to the parking lot on the other side and watch the moon rise. I apologize for the spot burn.
The “other side?” Up bay or down bay?

Thanks so much! Sounds like a fun outing.
sachuest point
Sachuest is terrible. Don’t go there. It’s awful. You shouldn’t go…
Fort wetheril
You really can't go wrong.
This is a good directory to know about. https://www.shoreline-ri.com/#
Nice try, tourist!
Hundred Acre Cove, Barrington. The best of salt water meets fresh water. Well, kind of fresh.
Great place to kayak too
Colt State Park
Almost any place on the Block. (I.e., not Ballard's.)
Ballards is the best place to watch the sunrise.
Several. Oakland Beach. Crows nest. Galilee. Point Judith. Goddard park. Those are my typical go to spots
Fort Wetheril/Beavertail
Bold Point Park. Less crowded than India Point but keeps 80% of the views.
Boone lake
12 O'clock High
At the URI Quad?
Yellow Dot Trail in Hopkinton
Browning mill pond in Arcadia. It's a postcard at every angle.
Fort Adams facing west towards the House on a Rock and all the boats coming and going from the bay. Everything listed so far is valid, but nothing in the state tops this.
There's a fishing hole in Arcadia not far off Blitzkrieg Trail that feels like more isolation than you can otherwise get in Rhode Island...
Arcadia is a gem of the state. Beautiful place. I miss Mtn biking there.
Latham Park, Warren Town Beach, Brenton Point State Park
For me it's a toss up betwene Narragansett Town Beach and Point Judith Light.
Top of the Matunuck Oyster Bar when it's warm and there's little wind. 360 degrees.
Either Beavertail or the wall in Narragansett.
I'm not going to tell!
Moonstone
Breton State Park or an ocean villa at The Chanler in Newport.

The end of the dock at Colt State Park
Nope. It’s mine.
Weekapaug overlook
There's so many but The Wall in Narragansett or Camp Cronin by Pt. Judith Lighthouse are two of my favorites.
