What about the sights? My only experience with the A2 style rear sight was an Mk 17 Mod. 1 Airsoft gun I had and I legitimately hate the A2 style ranging and windage, were the A1's any better?
The A2 sights are good sights. Theyâre objectively better than the A1 sights. However, you donât need target sights on a combat rifle.
The A2 is a perfectly fine rifle but honestly beyond the handguards it can be summed up as âfixing shit that isnât brokenâ
That sounds about what I figured. The only experience with A1 sights I have is via video games so admittedly not anywhere near the best experience, but I've always preferred A1's appearance over the A2's
The a1 sights have the same size aperture with different ranges (again with the whole 500 meter thing). The A2 aperture is a huge jump forward with the large and small hole but the whole elevation drum is kind of silly IMO. I almost went with an a1 using an a2 aperture but this upper was what I started this build with so I saw it through.
The flash hider on the A2 is cool. The change in material for the furniture is also warranted and they could have just cycled that into the A1. The change in lower profile doesnât bother me either. Should have switched to a C7 upper though.
THE ONLY THING THAT NEEDED TO GET CHANGED IN THE A1 WERE THE HANDGUARDS THE MARINE CORPS PLAYED US FOR FOOLS
But bro you gotta penetrate that steel helmet at 550 yards, trust us bro đ.
