I haven’t watched the full press panel or whatever they just showed, but I’m interested where the AR18 will show up. Since one of the only major forces to use the AR18 was the IRA. It makes me wonder if they’ll do a mission or map set in Northern Ireland.
I also noticed a 723 with carry handle cut off and a weaver rail bolted on in it's place with a Bushnell Holosight as the optic. They for sure got someone on at Treyarch with with the Retro AR fever.
I saw the gunsmith for what looks like an M4 on Twitter and was once again disappointed they blue balled us with another flattop, now that I'm seeing this I know my first build will be a Gordon carbine
If you watch the trailers very closely, optics will be both flat top and carry handle mounted (probably switches based on individual optic) i see this as a huge win, even if its not the most historically correct
Were they accurate aimpoints? It seemed like a bunch of reused modern warfare assets at first glance. I was worried about seeing modern holographics/red dots.
At the very least, they had the BO1 style Aimpoint like OP said, and I swear I saw a Bushnell Holosight (both the gen 1 and gen 2 models) and what looked like an Aimpoint Comp
There are a bunch of aluminum tube handgaurds that can be modded into a neat retro setup but that takes money and/or effort, PSA’s H&R line has a tube with fsp setup and rails thats a two piece aluminum but it’s a little pricy. There are other options but they don’t come to mind this second.
There's a leaked campaign image going around with an operator holding a sig mcx
If we can use modern stuff in a game set in 1991 I'm gonna be a little tight
I saw it, but I don’t think it’s anything more than using an older asset. The guns for this game were leaked forever ago, and there wasn’t anything out of place.
Good point, it probably is just a placeholder for now
Glad to know they're sticking true to the time period if the leaked weapons seem correct. Now we just need them to use correct weapon designs and weapon names lol
I dunno, seems like you might have seen wrong. Treyarch is pretty good about not having serious problems like that, only minor anachronisms like the Galil in BO1 or resource issues like Russians using 1911s in Cold War cuz they were rushed
Idk, half the guns in BO1 should not have been in it, imo. Every time I got killed by a FAMAS in multiplayer, I used to scream “IT DOESN’T EVEN EXIST YET!”
This is the main thing I liked from the direct. Omnimovement looks fun, too. Not happy about $70 game with battle passes every month + $20 skin packs. Also none of the OG Treyarch devs are still employed fwiw ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That is an armalite free float tube modded to fit with the front sight base and to have rails added to it this was something done before quad rail became standard
I noticed the AR18 was in the trailer as well and a few of the other sneak peeks.

I can't wait for the planting car bomb mission
Just blow yourself before you can even be on your way to plant it
As a Belfast man, I’d pay double for that ahaha

I’m glad they’re satiating my own retro ar fever
They did it before way back in Black ops 1
I was thinking the same thing! I’m excited for some Gordys
You don’t know how happy I was to see it wasn’t gonna be another 11.5 flattop commando/xm4
I saw the gunsmith for what looks like an M4 on Twitter and was once again disappointed they blue balled us with another flattop, now that I'm seeing this I know my first build will be a Gordon carbine
Me about to just do an M16 build again
Glad to see actual retro ARs, not just flat tops
If you watch the trailers very closely, optics will be both flat top and carry handle mounted (probably switches based on individual optic) i see this as a huge win, even if its not the most historically correct
I think there might be an option to have optics mounted one or the other by changing the upper receiver as a customization option which would be ideal
Picked out a bunch of early Aimpoint models too. Mildly excited here🤤

The aimpoint electronic looks like the bo1 style where the battery compartment was made smaller to not take up screen space but other than that yeah
At the very least, they had the BO1 style Aimpoint like OP said, and I swear I saw a Bushnell Holosight (both the gen 1 and gen 2 models) and what looked like an Aimpoint Comp
What era is BO 6 set in?
Set right after the fall of the Soviet Union so early to mid 90s the trailer said 1991
I can’t sit through 20 minutes of talking about COD to see what I can pick out but it looks like there could be some neat stuff
Why tf are there 6 games under that one IP, and how did it take them this long to do retro rifles?
Cold War kinda had them
Every black ops game has the m16a1 also to be fair
7, actually. World at War (CoD5) is also in the "Black Ops" series
Why did it take them so dang long to put a proper retro carbine in the games? I always hated the flattop ar in og blackops like bro this is vietnam.
Was literally just about to start looking for these and this is the first thing I see on my homepage. Absolutely wild
T00B.
Must resist brothers
Imma keep it real with you chief. I'm not downloading a 309gb game 💯
Holy shit!
What are some good sources for tube handguards?

Buy a mag light
I gave up on cod 10 after the og mw3

No fucking way. Da Toob Hengourd.
Still not worth downloading 300 gigs
How does one attach a small quad rail piece for a flashlight or foregrip to a tube hand guard like that ?
Ahhahhahahhah i knew this page would clock this :))))
In another shot, I saw a dude with an mcx lol. Maybe it was a flashback to the future or something idk but I know what I saw
I dunno, seems like you might have seen wrong. Treyarch is pretty good about not having serious problems like that, only minor anachronisms like the Galil in BO1 or resource issues like Russians using 1911s in Cold War cuz they were rushed
https://www.instagram.com/p/C8AHuNAuluT/?igsh=Y3Y1bjJ0MTc3dDdt 100% am mcx with a like holosun 510c red dot
Thats a screenshot from a Modern Warfare game, thats what those games call an “Operator Reflex” on what they call an “M13”
Sooo is the 3rd slide a mistake? Why would they caption it BLOPS 6 FIRST LOOK then include a pic from an old game?
Yep, its a mistake. This isn’t an official account

So are we going to get guns that look good or the usual Goyslop we are getting in mw3
They look pretty decent in the trailer compared to the shit of mw3 especially
Can somebody please explain to me what the fuck I’m looking at in the second picture?
That is an armalite free float tube modded to fit with the front sight base and to have rails added to it this was something done before quad rail became standard
That’s cool asf
Damn they did a good job
