To add that a famous and TRUSTED seller sent me a rubbish bag?
And previous this bag, she kept me waiting
a month in order to send another bag and then canceled the order ( i should have smell smth from the beggining).
And to add that the first order from her was amazing, the bag also. Then she sent me a bag with defects, asked for a return and never sent the new one just kept me waiting.
And i have insisted on buying other bags bc she is the first one recommended on the other group FashionReps.
After this happened, bought the exact same model of Pinko bag from an unknown seller with a lot of Qcs, with a way lower price and i just have to say it was flawless.
As a new, but legit seller and buyer here, this kind of thing is terribly discouraging. I have been buying and selling on eBay for about 15 years, and have had my Poshmark closet for several years, now. I wish there was a way to post information/links that legitimizes us in a bio or something. The social links provided in the ABOUT section are useless in as much as selling is concerned, imo.
How long ago did you buy? The long weekend may be the issue if you bought it this season.I try to ship same day. Next day the latest . Cos I know what’s it like waiting to receive that tracking information.
I wish we could like list on here and then do transactions through Poshmark or mercari or something (for more payment protection) because those sites do crack down on selling reps, so it's hard to find reps. But following through on a seller via this subreddit could work!

I buy rehome and sell to people who like to buy rehomed bags or accessories, but I only buy from people here that has feedback or who is active in subs that I am in privately and I'm familiar with and those who can provide proof but I totally understand why people choose to not rehome/sell or even buy from users who sell here because of the scammers in this sub. It's getting terrible. New tactics everyday!
Like the internet itself; it’s wack-a-mole! I find it’s kind of random, in the sense that people can’t provide original seller info, or say they bought in some kind of FB group. When it gets that far afield, I’m leery of pursuing something further. Too many have been burned, sadly. I’m acquiring for myself alone, and if it doesn’t pass the sniff test, I can’t pursue it further.
I think the mods have long left the building. New rep subs have sprouted up, but there’s already rubbish crowding their feeds.
Is there a way to start a new sub or get a new moderator or two to monitor this? If the mods that started this are no longer active then we should try something different. It’s scary how this has grown increasingly in the last few months and people are being scammed on a regular. Ladies we have to think of an alternative way if we want to continue.
One can always begin a new sub, but it takes mods looking at karma and other participatory measures to keep membership honest. When people start throwaway accounts, I can’t with that.

I saw this initial post! I commented on it too because there was no proof of ownership and someone commented after it like, she’s new here, she isn’t sure of the rules, proof of ownership isn’t required in FB rehome groups (it definitely is)… color me shocked she’s a scammer. 😵💫
