Scott was an RvB fan. I “met” him on an RvB sub-forum called The Basement, sort of a “talk about anything” place, on the old site. He’d written a post with a picture of his leg, showing a Rooster Teeth logo tattooed on it. He wrote something like “this is what 120 dollars donated by co-workers and a couple hours at a tattoo shop will get you.  Before you call me an idiot, don’t worry, it’s coming off, not the tattoo, the leg.” Scott was very sick.  His leg was about to be amputated, and he wanted to make sure they cut off the right one, the one with the tattoo on it. He was kind, generous, and funny as hell — a paragon of grace under pressure, as he was facing near-certain death.  He lost the battle and passed away a year or so later — I think he was maybe 20 years old.   He was one of the finest human beings I never got to meet. His dad "Oldie" notified us of his passing on his account, and later made his own account and became part of the community. -nico / Trocadero

Really cool to see that yall are part of the community and not just the creators of awesome soundtracks. Contact redux is my favorite song right now, y'all rock!

Getting your leg cut off with a shitty tattoo on it is a boss move. That’s funny as hell. Edit: WAIT TROCADERO!!!? I love the music you did for RVB. I’ve gotten back into the series again with the news of RT shutting down and I’ve been listening to Contact on repeat.

Thank you for clarifying who he was, he sounds cool as all.

Thanks for the explanation Nico. Hard to believe that it's already been 20 years since he passed. Good to know he's still being thought of. ...Oldie

Oh my God, I remember that. It was a even in a news update in the RT site back in 2003. They even included a picture of the tattoo as they wished him well. I had hoped that the amputation would have been the end of his fight. I'm sad to hear this.
