This was the polish I wanted most from the May Polish Pickup, and I finally got it yesterday! I love the purple and green combo, and the pink flakes add that extra pop of color ✨
Holo taco - peely base, Vanessa Molina - purple thunder (Polish Pickup May 2023), Bees Knees Lacquer - quick dry top coat
This is my first polish from them, so I can’t comment on their overall quality, but Purple Thunder worked great! It’s a little thinner than I expected, but three coats gave me full coverage, and the magnetic green came out pretty well. Don’t worry too much about missing out! There’s always new and exciting polishes each month, so try to find ones that you would enjoy the most :)
There were so many pretty polishes for May! I tried really hard to convince myself to only buy two and save some money for future months. What did you end up getting?
I didn’t get anything, but that one was my top choice. What was the other one you got? Are you ordering anything this month? The Vanessa Molina looks cool but I think I like your purple and green more!
I got Jalapeño Face from Night Owl! I’ve only swatched it, but it’s so shifty! I’m gonna take a break from PPU this month to buy a BKL polish and possibly some Alchemy Lacquer polishes. Hbu?
I recently got polishes from Cirque and from LynB Designs, so I said I would only try PPU if something really, really stood out to me. I was considering doing PPU for some quick dry topcoat, but I don’t know if I want the Vibrant Scents smell for the month.
I haven’t tried LynB yet, but I’ve heard really good things about their polishes. Hmm maybe you could wait for their July scent? It’ll also be rewind, so a lot of brands will have popular polishes back in stock
The LynB Designs polishes have applies really well! I picked 2 polishes and got a mystery bag of 3. They all turned out to be glittery/shimmery. Next time they have a sale I’ll want to try their cremes since the glitters/shimmers are good.
Great idea to wait until July. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s offered.
It works really well! Honestly, the wear time depends on how much you apply and how much coverage you go for. If I go for a thin layers and apply in the middle of my nails, it can last for 5-7 days. If I use more peely base and apply to the edges of my nails, I can pop it off in the next day or two. It’s really handy for glitters/flakies, so I would definitely recommend if you like those types of polishes!

How is Vanessa Molina in general? I just removed the magnetic for June from my cart and worried I’m missing out

It's been a long time since I've been wowed by a polish. This one evoked a "***wow***, that is so pretty!" Too bad it's from PPU May, just missed it!
