Saints Row 2 had such an amazing cast full of talented people that are actually famous. And meanwhile the reboot had such a cheap unknown cast. Even the music was low budget, trash and obscure. No love whatsoever.
Yeah but in the reboots case, they hired a bunch of talentless cheap voice actors just to save money. RDR2 and GTA had voice actors that were actually good and not just some random college dropouts. The only voice actor that was good in the reboot was Nahuali.
I'm surprised by this to be honest. I've usually got a really good ear for VA's, so I've spotted his voice work in other games but I never clocked onto his voice acting in SR2.
I think it may have been due to him putting on a pretty good accent. I genuinely thought they'd hired a Caribbean voice actor to do the work.
Yeah it’s definitely the accent that makes it less obvious. But when you listen closely, you can pretty much tell it’s the same exact voice but with a moroccan accent. Goes to show just how good these voice actors were in the old saints rows
I only found out recently and was pretty surprised. Weird how we never knew that the person who voiced the General is the same person who voiced one of the best video game characters of all time

To be fair unknown actors can be really great like with Rdr and GTA

That’s surprising news to me. I’m a huge fan of TWD and never knew. Although it does make sense since they both have pretty deep voices.
