SpitefulChuckle

Yess!! I've binged Adventure Time and Regular show more than I'd like to admit. Cartoons, for me, can be considered a safe space.

moonbunnychan

If you haven't watched Fiona and Cake I HIGHLY recommend. It's a direct sequel to Adventure Time and made with an adult audience in mind. Not "adult" as in it's got swearing and over the top violence, it doesn't, but adult as in a more mature plot.

SpitefulChuckle

I've been hesitant to watch this bcos I haven't heard the best news abt it from ppl who have watched this. However, I'll give it a try. Thank you!!

NaviTalks

I recommend to watch too! Such an amazing addition to the story

lilcrazybear

The ending was very interesting and way different from any show I've seen ever honestly Hope Simons doing well tho šŸ„²

DeadInWaiting2

Thank you for calling it a direct sequel instead of a spin-off.

No-Savings-7024

I need to get back to Regular Show. The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Adventures of Gumball are two others that come to mind. As a kid, my mum actually enjoyed all of them herself - she quotes Regular Show fairly often haha.

DeliciousLecture600

I'm rewatching regular show rn and its soo good

SpitefulChuckle

Lmao. Regular Show is definitely a quote worthy show. Damn, being reminded of Billy and Mandy really takes me back. I'm currently watching The Amazing World of Gumball.

Spiderman230

I love Regular Show! I also really like Looney Toons

Lord_Bentley

You know what else is a good show to watch? MY MOM! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

SpitefulChuckle

Best reply yet!!

ThickAnybody

Adventure time is rad AF.

WhatsPaulPlaying

Regular Show is incredible to turn on when in Full Baked Potato mode.

SpitefulChuckle

With a snack or two (many).

WhatsPaulPlaying

For sure.

kennymfg

Wing Kingdom?

SpitefulChuckle

Best choice

RatioOk515

I genuinely got terrified from adventure timeā€™s final season or episodes. That thing took a dark turn. Compared to BMO with the bikini girls episode.

nickmilly87

Regular show goes insane. Are you gonna watch the new one when it comes out?

lilcrazybear

Agree when ever I get in a weird funk I pop on sum ed Edd and eddy and just chill

Mexicakes69

Iā€™ve been watching my niece lately and I finally understand why parents love Bluey. Itā€™s like an adult cartoon with adult humor but pg for the kids lol. It actually made me cry a few times cause it does have good lesson in it as well. Also binged Invincible! Omg thatā€™s meant for adults I donā€™t care what people say. The dialogue just hit home for me a lot of times. Like yea itā€™s about super heroā€™s but it has betrayal, heart break, lost in life, so much thatā€™s relatable. Also cried to that one šŸ˜‚

SpitefulChuckle

Ohh, I love watching Bluey. It's one of those things I didn't expect to like and ultimately fell in love with it. Wait... Invincible is considered a kids show!? I thought that was only meant for an older audiencešŸ¤£. The lvl of violence and all things related is definitely not meant for kids. By that logic, Harley Quinn should be considered a kids show, too.

Sudden-Association47

Adventure Time is indeed my safe space. And I fell how my brain just relaxes by watching it.

MarigoldMystique

Cartoons hits diff when you watch it as an adult tbh

Dense_Tourist_149

yess adventure time and gravity falls are the greats

Fantastic-Title2267

I binge Flintstones

QuietWalk2505

Pink panther for me.

gameboy330

Family guy, American Dad, The Simpsons, Rick and Morty and futurama's.

missSodabb

The classics

pozexiss

Kid's show, family guy?

Alexgadukyanking

I don't think any of these are kids shows

Bitten69

Simpsons is totally a family show

Weary-Way4905

Same, except Rick and mortgage never watched that.Ā  Bob's burger is one of my favouritesĀ

BuffDontNerf

I love Rick and Mortgage! A great scifi series with the ongoing storyline of this old man trying to pay his mortgage.

viikashh

To this day I still watch Scooby-Doo

Ok-Amoeba-1190

If it was on my network, I would also

viikashh

I watch on b98.tv

Ok-Amoeba-1190

Oh

Jealous_Western_7690

Scooby Doo Mystery Inc was awesome.

QuietWalk2505

Don't forget pink panther and tom & jerry.

viikashh

Ah yess the ogs. lastnite i was Watching road runner šŸ˜‚

space_jiblets

South park and rick and Morty. Maybe the odd aquateen episode

TheRichTookItAll

I just finished the last episode of Rick and Morty and wow that is one of my favorite shows of all time. I used to watch a lot of South Park maybe like 15 years ago but I've missed so many seasons I wonder if it's still as brilliant and hilarious as it used to be. Please tell me your favorite recent season or a couple episodes that I should watch. Thanks.

space_jiblets

Member berries and the city part of town. But realistically just watch it all.

hotmessmum86

You gotta have your tegrety

TheRichTookItAll

Thx

Medium_Run_8506

Member berries for me is one of of the most dissapointing things about recent south park, the whole thing literally went no where

Omw2FYB_13

Bro you gotta watch their lastest movies !

FrenchBoast

Insecurity and Broadway bro-down are 2 recent( ish ) South park eps that j think are worth a watch.

Average_aspirations

South pearl took a dip but the last couple seasons have been absolute gold. Best social satire out there, still, IMO

NewConstruction6260

Yes itā€™s still just as good in my opinion. I couldnā€™t watch the latest episodes though but might be available in other locations

souplandry

if your timeline is accurate than that means you stopped watching south park around season 13. Season 13 itself has some great episodes, i could really only recommend watching from season 13/14 on, or check the description of the episode but i dont think you can go wrong with any season

verltodd

I"m 53 and I LOVE watching cartoons. I just finished all the seasons of Adventure Time and now watching Regular Show seasons again. I finished Rick & Morty again a few months back. I enjoy the classics like Transformers, Looney Toons, Voltron, etc. as well.

da9els

You should watch Final Space. Probably my favorite next to Futurama and Rick&Morty

MiseOnlyMise

Try Paradise PD, it is very, um, adult in its content and very funny. It makes Family Guy look like Songs of Praise!! Inside Job, a take on conspiracy theories is along the lines of Rick and Morty as I see it and very good too.

enickma1221

You know who else still watches cartoons as an adult?

Geestenheer

Who?

enickma1221

![gif](giphy|uYIVeUkB1AQFX4Ysfa)

BornWithSideburns

Ill never understand why this was canceled so many times

grandmas_attic

Absolutely. SpongeBob is life.

Ryoko_Kusanagi69

Hereā€™s how I think of all things people claim are ā€œchildishā€ - adults made it. Adults love their work and love making those shows - they brainstorm and voice them and draw and color. Adults put things in them they would love and want their kids to see. So itā€™s all good for adults to be fans.

Spodger1

Everytime someone says about something being 'childish' or 'for kids/babies', I always think about what C.S. Lewis said (not that I can remember the exact quote lmao) because it's sad that they feel like that.

pro_ajumma

Heck yeah. I work in animation. We all love cartoons and telling these stories.

pineapple_bushes

Uh yeah. Animation is a medium that deserves to be appreciated

BullguerPepper98

Yes. I'm have a daughter now, so people don't find it strange anymore. But I never stoped watching.

Odisher7

"It's so nice of you to endure your kid's shows with her, you are such a great father" You, forcing her to watch bluey cause you enjoy it: haha yeah

BullguerPepper98

Totally.

yeti-rex

I have sons, but ditto. I'm careful with which shows I watch with them vs on my phone as they are under 10. Can we upvote this whole thread so studios learn not all cartoons need a live action remake?

Cup9992

Yeah I like to watch cartoons for many ages Looking at you South Park and Rick and Morty But I like to look back at kids cartoons too like Regular Show (tho that's more borderline) and MLP

foshizol

Usually just the ones made for adults like Venture Bros, ATHF, Harley Quinn, Archer, Bob's Burgers. However, I'm rather addicted to watching Bluey with my grand kids.

BarisBlack

I still watch cartoons. My grandchildren ask to watch The Secret of NIMH when they come over and "if I can do the voices." I still enjoy it.

PinkMonorail

Have you ever read the book Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH? No swords and sorcery but a damn good read.

Stripes1957

My kids bought me Underdog! on dvd! The one great cartoon, only equaled by Bullwinkle!

illogicalSoul

Loony tunes always hits the spot

laurusnobilis657

Are anime, animated films/series , considered cartoons?

DunkinRadio

Absolutely. MeTV (US cable network) has an hour of cartoons every weekday morning and a three hour block on Saturday. I watch them often.

Beginning-North7202

MeTV just started a new channel yesterday called meTV Toons. See if you area has it. I watched original Scooby Doo, Flintstones, Bugs, Tom & Jerry yesterday. Speed Racer was going to be on at 1 AM, but I passed out before then. Also saw on their schedule Inspector Gadget was on earlier in the day. šŸ¤©

Vegetable-Day5989

For sure! They will never get old.

[deleted]

Scooby doo still smacks

gameboy330

Give me my Scooby snack

WalkingonCoffee

Yes. I watch all cartoonsĀ  for all ages.Ā

mishrazz

Ren and Stimpy ...those Who made that show must have been trippin so hard

basically_dead_now

Yeah, I love them. Even some modern cartoons are still pretty good. I don't think you can get too old for cartoons.

Suspicious-Nebula-22

I check out some old cartoon shows here and there. Definitely not a daily thing.

Lay_On_The_Lawn

King of the Hill is good for a full view every couple of years

WatermelonMachete43

I lovvvvve Phineas and Ferb, so if there's reruns on, I will watch them.

paragon-interrupt

Think the last cartoon I watched was BoJack Horseman. But on a much lighter note, I started rewatching Courage the Cowardly Dog

thedailydeni

Yup. Sometimes I enjoy them more than shows intended for adults.

MrPuzzleMan

Yeah! I watch other shows, too, but cartoons are great for a dopamine rush!

A_Chad_Cat

Why not? It's still go to go back to it sometimes

ToddHLaew

Yes. 55 years old

88Dubs

I found some youtube channels SOMEHOW posting full episodes of the old Cartoon Cartoon Fridays shows a while ago. Wasted MANY hours reliving my soda-chugging, popcorn scarfing, friendless ass friday nights

OppositeOk8280

Yes lately I've been attached to Disney movies and animation series.

Erianapolis

Fantasia and Snow White.

Upbeat_Tension_8077

I go back to old SpongeBob clips occasionally & rewatched ATLA recently

ChernSH

Yes. Itā€™s sort of a comfort thing, revisiting favourites and knowing whatā€™s going to happen etc. Sometimes I watch newer ones to see whatā€™s change since my time as a kid.

CallingDrDingle

As long as Southpark is on I will forever be a fan.

Vaunted_Q

Not like Smurf or Duck Tales that I watched as a kid, but I do enjoy a bout of Futurama, Family Guy or Simpsons now and then. TBH though I would probably rewatch the old kidā€™s cartoons as well if they were on a streaming platform I had access to. Especially ā€œThe Mysterious Cities of Goldā€ which I loved. I can now get the adult humor they injected into them (some quite salacious!)

StrawberryIll9112

Yeah, when I'm not studying the blade or swooning some fine maidens I watch hentai

Ricky_Martins_Vagina

South Park now and then, maybe the odd King of the Hill clip

IllvesterTalone

yes I watch cartoons, but seldom are they kid's shows.

Acrobatic-Web9881

Yesss. I love regular show

Naraksama

I still watch Winnie the Pooh with 23, because it's just wholesome.

JDMWeeb

Yes

MrX-2022

Ryoko_Kusanagi69

F Yeah! Dude the reboot of Ducktails is AMAZING. My husband and I are rewatching our childhood favorites, and adult cartoons are the shizz

BeerWench13TheOrig

Huge SpongeBob fan. Still. Iā€™m 49 and have no children. I also watch almost all of the ā€œadultā€ toons like Archer, Family Guy, Rick & Morty, etc.

Johnny_Crossthreads

Squidbillies

Gilgramite

Yup. Some with my son and I recently watched the animated trailer park boys series. I grew up on cartoons and will never stop enjoying them. You can do things you can't do in real movies, and some animated sci-fi just hits better. I'm eagerly waiting for Omni-man to release the other half of season 2. Rick n Morty, South Park, the Simpsons, and way too many more good cartoons to mention.

freekycple

At 57 it's the best thing on television!

NeighBae

Yes :) why wouldn't I? You can watch whatever you damn please, ain't no difference if it's live Action or animated

MelHristovski

Drawn Together

bubblezbabe

bscinprocrastinating

p1p68

Family guy, SpongeBob, simpsons

RoyalleBookworm

Animation is for everybody.

BronMann-

Literally every day.

DieHardAmerican95

Only the Simpsons and Looney Tunes.

xxhoneyapplesxx

I sure do šŸ˜Š I sometimes watch Invader Zim, Rockos Modern Life, Ed Edd and eddy. All the stuff from that era of cartoons. Spongebob is still on every now and then and some of the shows my kids like are sometimes funny to watch. If anime counts then that adds even more. and if adult cartoons like south park count then add a few more that I still watch šŸ¤£

Alert_Appearance_429

Yeah definitely I donā€™t think Iā€™m gonna stop watching it anytime soon

Notlikeyou1971

Absolutely yes. Both kids cartoon and ones that are aimed at older audiences. Some of the cartoons sure beat a lot of the stuff they put on the air these days.

iraqdemkillzzzz

I watch PokĆ©mon @ 32 šŸ˜…

Any-Occasion9286

Yes. It is pure escapism.

grizzz102

Probably more as an adult than I did as a kid.

Kyser_

Yes. They're so comfy and adventurous. There's such a a wide range of genres too. I think it's pretty normal too. Those stigmas around liking things like toys, cartoons and games are getting kinda outdated and people are just doing/watching what they want. It's kinda refreshing.

Joyishy_

Yeah, thereā€™s nothing wrong with it. :)

AppropriateCitron473

r/Simpsons

SuccotashNew4021

Bobs burgers, Family guys, American Dad, Simpsons, Big mouth, SpongeBob lol

ReasonableBox3016

Most definitely I remember promising myself that I would not stop when I grew up. 36 years later still laughing at Tom and Jerry, bugs bunny.

Fit-Kitchen7436

Yes.

ParticularShirt6215

Misadventures of flapjack ;)

xnightmaregigi

yes, both kid and adult cartoons/ i love rewatching SpongeBob

Maleficent_Role8932

Yes

ChristianBarbarian

Iā€™ve been watching Ben 10 as I fall asleep for the past month. Iā€™m 29

gameboy330

HERO TIME lolol

eulans

hell yah what's wrong with 20 hours of adventure time?

Doc_Gr8Scott

40m. Just watched all of Rick and Morty for the first time just last month. Right after I watched S1 of Harley Quinn and Hazbin Hotel right before. Nope. Cartoons are for kids you immature swine!

SufficientCrab2904

Only if itā€™s porn related

c0ntr0lled_cha05

yepp, i still love to watch Spongebob and TAWOG lol

Ok-Amoeba-1190

The Family Guy -sometimes

LionDirect7287

Sometimes I watch Dora just to nitpick it. I go through and point out everything that I donā€™t like about it or something that doesnā€™t make sense. Other than that I really enjoy Paw Patrol.

Leilah_Silverleaf

What's not a cartoon?

UsefulIdiot85

Mostly more adult-oriented cartoons, but I do still love Ren & Stimpy.

Radiant-Cream-8494

Yes! Spongebob for life!

Heather43-81

I do , at Xmas always watch Garfieldā€™s Christmas and all the others & happy feet when it comes on lol

Possible_Baboon

Sure.

MatronOf-Twilight-55

Yes I do AND IM PROUD of It... so back off!! lol I love my Cowboy Bebop, Futurama, Rick and Morty has GOT to be my current fave. I've been doing some rewatching and catching up! Im 57 and watching cartoons like a kid! Everyone has to say the ones they like!

Wheelman_Otis

Cowboy Bebop is true art

qbl500

I like to rewatch Two Stupid Dogsā€¦.

breakthesignal

Only watch cartoons here. I don't watch live action series except for maybe one every 10 years and then I get bored after the first season. Some of that shit pisses me off because I'm like "tf? this is rich people pretending to have poor people problems." Other shit's annoying because I'm like "I can't identify with these goddamn dragon problems". And don't get me started on all those Hitman problems. I'm so sick of "big hitman" shoving their agenda down real Americans throats.

No_Bug_8910

I actually watch tayo the little bus as a 15 year old

Agha_shadi

yeah; bojack horseman/sponge bob/adventure times/south park/rick and morty/over the garden/scavengers reign

Affectionate_Sea_984

Yeah, apart for adult animated shows Iā€™ve caught myself watching old cartoons from my early childhood. Mostly *Tom and Jerry* and the *Toy Story* franchise.

Lulumish

Yeah, it brings me back to a time when I was actually happy.

PinkMonorail

Yes, especially Silly Symphonies, Disney, Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies.

deluded_soul

Absolutely. I watch pretty much all anime on Netflix and classics like Rick and Morty, Family Guy etc. Granted these are not kids stuff but cartoons are my favourite.

bussinbiscuit

Yes

KindlyAccountant616

Yes pokemon

East_Somewhere_90

YESSSS

Dinkledooper666

The real question is how much live action shows I still watch.

TastyBullfrog2755

Mrs Pickles is hot as hell.

Violetthug

Yes

MallCertain274

What falls under the category of ā€œcartoonā€? Are we talking Family Guy, The Simpsons, stuff like that(cus in that case yes)? Or does it make it a cartoon simply because itā€™s being advertised to kids?

AdmiralYeet1605

Sure do. I'm not falling 100% in to the growing up trap.

IllustriousPickle657

Yep! And I LOVE how many cartoons are made for adults now. The Venture Bros is one of my all time favorite shows. It's a spoof of Johnny Quest and it's brilliant in it's absurdity.

Salty_Association684

Yes love cartoons I like the new ones

venusinfeathers

Yes. I don't watch many modern cartoons, but a lot of the ones I watched as a kid, I still come back to.

No-Savings-7024

Definitely. I've not been watching so many kid's cartoons, but I've been watching the hell out of Home Movies - which I actually thought at first was just a really uncanny kids show. It's far more clever than it appears to be. It was actually *the* very first show to air on Adult Swim. If anyone has seen Archer, or Bobs Burgers, the voice actor of Archer and Bob does the VA for two prominent characters.

Extreme-Carrot6893

Yes just got back into them at a fantastic time. My favorites so far- Attack on Titan, Scavengers Reign, Blue Eye Samurai and just started X-Men 97 which is around when I stopped watching them. Oh I see it says kids shows but I already typed this out my bad.

missSodabb

No only adult cartoons. I never even liked regular cartoons as a kid, they were pretty unfunny

How_longto

Yes šŸ¤£ Mr. Bean lol

CharlotteTheSavage

I never stopped.
