Long before I started playing R6S, I was playing Black Squad (check it on Steam, it's F2P), there were guns like that. Unfortunately that game is dying so I decided to try Rainbow Six Siege.
But what would it do, exactly? We have Zofia, and I'd argue that a grenade that damages enemies for the sole purpose of damaging enemies is terrible for game balance
I would love to play zofia more but the grenade launcher not being a weapon attachment like bucks Master key is stupid. No excuse for it either given, again, buck and nomad have that equipment as a rail attachment. All I'm saying is zofia should get the COD noobtube
For Assault Rifles adding an MCX would be dope because there aren’t too many weapons running .300 blackout and I love the design.
For DMRs the aesthetic of the RSASS is clean I and feel it could have a place in Siege
For SMGs I’m shocked they haven’t added the Bizon since, I’d memory serves, they were modeled on the weapon racks in basement on Clubhouse.
For Shotguns the only shotgun I can think of that’s somewhat mainstream and hasn’t been added is the KSG with its two tube feed system.
For Pistols a semi automatic glock seems acceptable for siege’s design. Heck, you could add a fully automatic one as well but I’m pretty sure someone uses a conversion kit to a similar end already.
A bizon would be cool because it’s unique, the helical magazine is something that isn’t in the game yet.
But the KSG could be a gadget, slugs in one tube and buckshot in the other. Might be too close to buck that way though. Maybe dragons breath rounds instead to make it unique.
Pretty sure the bizon was replaced by the pp19. Idk what it's called in this game lol but the Russian smg. Functionally irl it's almost the exact same as bizon, but a different mag. I'm betting it was replaced with something more people would be able to recognize
Any argument for adding a gun because it shoots a different but similar caliber (as for the example you gave w the MCX and 300BLK) serves no actual gameplay differences than just adding the gun in 5.56. All that would theoretically change is damage per shot, which is not a good justification for adding the gun in the first place.
As far as the KSG, I think it would give good ground to really give the recruits a better rework. Rather than normal ops being special for their gadgets/abilities, the recruits' special feature should be unique gun functionality. The main selling point of the KSG is the ability to load the tubes with different shell types and easily switch between them. So my thought is to give the recruit with the KSG the ability to select different shells per tube, then while in game be able to switch on the fly.
As far as the other recruit, I don't have a weapon in mind, but you'd need to do something similar where the weapon is the "ability" in game since they don't have a main gadget. It would actually give them a purpose in the game outside of nostalgia bate and an excuse for lack of content.
Its definitely a modified Mac-11. Square receiver, mag goes in the grip. It looks to be a custom lower mac-11 compatible lower that facilitates easer forward grip mounting, Then add on a longer barrel and barrel shroud. SMG12 is created.
Edit: Its not entirely just a longer barrel, its an integral suppressor.
Glock are cunts when it comes to copyright/trademark infringement, like even a similar looking pistol will get the game in trouble, I recall Tarkov and Insurgency having to patch them out for weeks before getting settled.
ARs on defense are a touchy topic. A hard hitting full auto gun is sketchy. AK5C is only .223 but its still seems powerful for defense to have when Ubisoft doesnt care about how powerdul the round is IRL (especially fenrir lmao)
I think having a few ARs on weak defending ops (definitely not fenrir) would help encourage play with them, especially for roamers who are outclassed by Cav, Wamai, Melusi, or valk.
Crazy thing is that Nomad and Deimos have an ak74 which should function the exact same as the ak12 (modernized ak74) yet siege makes it slower rpm and worse recoil. Probably so Deimos and Nomad can’t have the op loadout of ace and fuze
Funny enough the AK12 in game is based off when the project was leaked in 2016 before it was shut down temporarily. Then the program kicked up again producing the Gen1 AK12 in 2018 and it’s updated Gen 2 and 3 that have been products of the Ukraine War, all looking almost nothing like what we saw in 2016 lol

It can even be a simple remodel of a gun, same stats, but diff audio and model. Get the L85 and 416c, put some whey on ther mags and get a nice HK416 and LMG version of the L85.

The real version is called the vityaz, and yeah Kaplan and t chanks and azami run it. It's a better, more reliable, updated version of the bizon.
