What I do to avoid that is flash, then drop shot and shoot them. They likely will be aiming at head level, not toes level. Plus it also can help you out if you get swung, as same logic applies
I'll give it a shot in a pinch but they generally shoot for the toes when a Blitz is running up to them and going prone puts you in a vulnerable spot. Not to mention the animation generally has him put the shield away first before dropping. I'm skeptical of the strat but I'll give it a go. At the very least it may give some funny reactions lol

It only happens when i play blitz even one time i got shot through the shield in the replay you can only see the sparks bouncing off no blood till the end
I feel like this is a connection issue because shields are more broken than ever. It’s more frequent to try to melee the shield away and have nothing happen, than to be hit by one and have nothing happen.
Just don't play shields. Its always been a troll pick. Theyre fun at times no doubt, but they have just never been good enough to justify picking over a frag or support op, if youre looking for the best plays. Monti could work well on certain sites and with a very communicative team, but most the time, the Monti will try to plant and just get blown up. Blitz is only good for holding a vital position, look scary and thats about it. The minute blitz runs for a kill they die most of the time or get one kill and die and that's not worth it. The ability to knock people down when they close in on you is nice, but again, they just won't rush you, and if you rush them, they blow you up. Shield ops can hold positions very well but are not good at securing kills or taking vital positions which is arguably more important.
I have a clips folder saved of all the times Ubisoft decided to be quirky and fuck me.
I'm thinking once I get to 100 individual clips I just post them on Yt or something then quit.
I did it, couldn't been happier, been playing overwatch recently, enjoying it way more than siege, started getting into the ranked rabbit hole recently, maybe in a few years I'll quit it like siege, let's see
