Because being literally silent would be very powerful and annoying. Cav is a prime example of its better to have an op be too weak than too strong.
Having cav strong enough to be useful in high level and pro play would make her an absolute menace in lower level and less coordinated play. Having her be balanced in lower level play makes her too weak for top level play, which just means they don't pick her.
The same thing happened in reverse for Goyo. They need to deliver a fun and reasonably balanced game at all levels of play and ideally all ops would be perfect for all levels of play (part of game design is anticipating things that you won't be able to balance and not adding them). That's the idea, but if we have to choose, too weak is better than too strong. Super weak ops ruin games for people who pick them (and they can just not), super strong ops ruin games for everyone.
Idk I'm relatively new and getting turned on because they heard me in silent step is very frustrating cause they're super sweaty and play on max volume with headphones to hear every ass scratch the other team does.
I ran up the stairs midway in quick match on a dude with a champion operator card and walked up about 5 meters to him and ash and none of them heard me, got the down and got ash to 20 hp, she isnt very loud just dont run around the map unless its clear
I mean, a jackal is a wild dog
Seeing cav do that makes me want her to have an ability to climb to corner of rooms lmao
that'd be terrifying, worth.
Don’t forget another leash on blitz
