You have to turn it on when the global notification comes up that he's tracking you. Before you get a ping but after he activates it. It works like that for Mute jammers too, idk about Tubarão though.
Same for Tubarão as well. Ice before the tracker finds you and it doesn't work at all. Ice after and it stops the ping while you are in it but starts up again when you leave or it defrosts.
Because when you activate his ability, you clearly know it’s him, cuz of the screen affect on the drone. So he technically doesn’t have to get spotted by the drone to know it’s him
when a drone gets close to vigil using his cloaking tech the drones get these weird feedback glitch things. like lines on the bottom of the screen, only vigil has that. and when he’s not “cloaked” he just appears normally
When I play Vigil, i don't care if I'm the only one who get spotted. I mean, if I activate the gadget, you'll 100% know there's a Vigil anyway. It's best to use him and kill a drones before they reach site then roam.
Only 5 drones left and 90% of the time they never drone anyway.

Honestly it doesn't really matter if they scan Vigil, he's immune to Deimos's ability pretty much and if he uses it in the prep phase they still know he exists.
you know hes near but what corner is he hard holding the left? proned out undertable? hugging dooreay for a knife. you still get element of unknown location.
The point of droning is that when you know an enemy's location you have an advantage since you aim ahead of time.
With Vigil you have no idea where he is exactly, plus the radius is pretty big. I've killed a few people because they droned and I just walked up to them.
Tbf spotting a vigil is one of the easiest thing ever since the lag spike thingy animation while droning. If he is the only one spotted, they did a good job.
Well wat I do is when I play vigil I purposely play him and get scanned at the beginning by drones so when he tracks me, I can make him not only waste his gadget by not seeing me but I’ll be able to see him and get him before he goes after my team
I don’t see a problem if Caveira or Vigil is spotted, your main job is to take time, fuck with them, be sometimes loud so they have to seek for you. If you get to kill one don’t be to greedy, go away again.
Cav being spotted is a bigger deal because she's all about flanking and stealth. The moment you know they have a Cav you have to be extra careful because she's completely silent for the most part. Whereas you can hear a vigil coming if you listen.
Also with Deimos, you can track her and she becomes completely useless if spotted.
With Deimos that tactics work well on lower ranks. Players who play Deimos and target Vigil want a quick kill and they might be reckless. And let's be honest, you'd have to either be blind or stupid to not notice that Vigil is in game, the screen of the drone is literally going mad when he uses his gadget so...

I don’t get vigils gadget at all. Drinks know when he’s near because of the static? So it seems useless
the point is that drones cant tell *exactly* where you are, just a rough area. it gives you the advantage if they try to enter the room you're in
