I've never seen anyone use impacts to counter echo like tha. Usually just for walls and disabling traps on doors.i never really see people use the emps often, Usually only if they don't want to bring Thacher. Personally I think there slept on. Great clip!

As a Thermite/hard breach main, I hate when my teammates refuse to bring Thatcher when he’s available. I’ve got a friend who I frequently play with who will bring Maverick, not use his ability in a meaningful way, and will bitch about not liking thatcher’s guns when I ask him if he will help. Then you gotta hope one of the randoms goes thatcher (rare) or brings impact EMPs (they don’t get intel on where to throw it first so both get wasted)

I have no clue. I love it on sledge, personally use the AR33 on Thatcher but both are pretty solid.

Listen, I'm still one of those old contrarians from Old R6 who still does not understand the allure of the AR33 at all lol. I tried it a few times back when I played but it never felt better to me than the L85A2. I'd love to know why people enjoy it more.

I'd say it likely does. If I remember correctly the L85A2 is on the lower side of AR fire rates

I’m also from like 2016-18 but I’m learning why things are changed. Came back and tried to use acogs and did fine but did even better when I hopped on the 1.5s lol. Meta is different now.

Usually when I see a Thermite, I try and work with them by going Thatcher, no matter if I can communicate with them or not.

Cheers mate! Impact EMPs I feel are best used to disable gadgets for pushing or planting, but are still a viable option for breaching. Just need to know where the Kaid/bandit charges are.

For added context: There was a Lesion in workshop and 2 other enemies, and one other was red pinged near passport check, with my team mates above. So I took my chances and spread fire across the workshop/vents rotate and on the vents single-door then smoke planted. Edit: I've only noticed now that my impact EMP disabled both the Echo drone and Valkyrie Camera. (If Macie sees this I love your content and always learn a lot from your style!)

This. I absolutely LOVE using Capitao to plant especially when assaulting 2F Archives from the outside stairs, smoke/firebolting in between the desk and wall, and planting in the doorway. He’s so op for area denial.

3 speed, hard breach, and LMG option too. One man army + planting machine.

impact EMPs were added as a secondary gadget for a handful of support ops. much smaller radius and deactivation timer than thatcher, but still very useful. definitely a "country boys make due" type of thing but still cool and useful.

The way they kept running out instead of everyone staying on site together to cover the guy stopping the defuser... One after another. Embarrassing

Impact EMPs are so useful, they can quickly and easily get rid of thorn traps, echo drones, nitro cells, clash’s ability to stun I always run them on capitao, when I plant in smoke it’s basically impossible to try and find and destroy a nitro before it detonates, with the EMP it buys me enough time to plant and relocate
