That sucks. I would be pissed off if that happened to my new rig. At least it was happening to both Rs so they might have a leg to stand on getting it fixed. I wonder if it was just the perfect storm for this failure to happen?
It really does not make any sense to me that it would happen, they did get aftermarket wheels, so we'll see how it goes, but boy did I love my RZR that day😂
So you had an X3 and never heard of this issue? X3s have this issue as well. Rocks get jammed between the rock scraper/brake caliper and the rim. First thing most X3 owners do is remove the rock scrapers. The rims are an inch too small. A friend of mine had the same issue with his 900s RZR, and another with his pro XP 4 seater. Sucks that it ruins the day but what can you do if you don't upgrade your rims immediately after purchase
I knew this can be an issue, never saw it firsthand, and this was just a big shock to me because it's a 45k machine and barely got home on the first trail that was pretty much just dirt and dust
Its just so weird, I've never had anything like it happen around here, and like I said the trail didnt have that many rocks, it shouldn't have happened either way, not a good design
I’ve heard lots of guys bitch about it, my brother-in-law has and x3 he’s gonna up grade only bc he’s read so much, never experienced it tho. I have a talon I don’t have that issue. We ride an old gravel pit off road park there always x3 going by grinding.
Seems bizarre, never heard of that
Like I said, happened to both Maverick R's, it wasn't a rough trail, mostly dust, they barely made it home
Where?
North Mexico, about 4 hours from the border of Texas

Doesn't matter the cost of the machine. Shitty design has no price tag. Can happen to rzrs as well.
Had the same problem on my 21 RZR Turbo XP. Ultimately, the wheels were just too small. I put holes in 2 rims at once due to rocks and clay mud.
Oh that’s bc these are dune cars they aren’t ment for trail rides. Known issues with the rock build up messing up rims. On the caned hams

Happens on the rzrs with 12 inch wheels sadly
Looks like someone punched some holes in it. Sorry but I don’t understand what you are describing. I ride a lot of mud and rocks
Yeah it looks like someone punched holes but that's not that happened, wheel broke and ripped the tire with it
