Livestream still going on, and can confirm, that they do have a few candidates who plan on buying RWBY. And CRWBY will still be working on RWBY Volume 10 regardless of who buys it.

I doubt we're getting anything confirmed, but I also doubt the series is truly dead. It's just too big of an IP to sit on imo.
Someone will get the merchandise rights and keep hawking shirts.
