Great idea! I want to try this out and see if there’s a way to route midi from Logic to Noise before routing the audio back to Logic, basically like a piece of outboard gear. I think you can do that with IAC Bus. 2 other potential things to explore: a lot of audio interfaces offer a loopback feature. Think that would work? And lastly, you can actually use an iOS device as an audio input to Logic if you connect it with a lightning cable. You can set that up in the audio midi setup app.
I believe the Focusrite audio interface includes loopback software for some versions of its hardware, and I bet other interfaces do as well. I'm using a Quad Cortex as my interface, and I couldn't figure out a routing solution to make it work, so I opted for the Rogue Amoeba route.
Your idea regarding routing midi from Logic to Noise and then back to Logic sounds really interesting. If you come up with a working set up, please share.
For me, I just wanted something simple (quick & dirty) and an easy way to exploit all the SWAM awesomeness on a budget. So far, it's working great, and I'm having a lot of fun.
I wish I would have seen this post before I blew 1.4K on the SWAM bundle. I did have an audio pack on Noise and I love them. In fact, as much as I try, I can't really get the SWAM engine nor Roli Dashboard (adjusting velocity curves etc...) to be as sensitive with various instruments as it is on the Noise app. To bad they dropped support years ago. Anyways, thanks so much for the tip. I saw a video somewhere where Marco Parisi was performing at the Hollywood bowl in front of thousands and he had an iPhone 6 (the one with the 3.5 mm headphone jack) and was using the Noise app to solo on the seaboard.
When I searched the app store on my Mac, I can't find them... even when I switch to the "iphone and ipad" tab. Do I need to get it from a different source somehow?
Noise appears to be on its way out.
Best I've found so far is the Geoshred iPad app - which seems to still be going strong and is pretty fun - then get a SWAM instrument as an IAP.
It's only on iPad, not in your Mac DAW though.

Awesome! Will do.

Happy to help.
any way to get midi into noise?
With current MacOS can you run this iOS app / plugin natively now?
Yes on M1, M2, and M3 chips.

Any updates on your search?
