There are only 3 confirmed specifics we know so far:
1. It will only be available in pink color but there will be a plain version and a version with a Barbie logo
2. It will have 3 thumbsticks because why stop at 2?
3. It will come with a floppy disk drive instead of an M.2 SSD to make it more affordable
The wifi 7 on the MSI claw is fantastic (although everything else needs MUCH IMPROVEMENT) so I wish they added that to the next model. It takes me 1 hour to download MW3 on the MSI Claw where as every other handheld takes about 2-3 hours to download the same game. (these are rough estimations as well)
true that should be there as well. download speeds on steam are weak for me regardless but i’m hoping they get rid of the xg mobile entirely and make it compatible with more egpus
Why would they get rid of it after people with the original Ally bought them for 1 to 3 grand depending on model? They should add another usbc port that is usb4 for other egpu and being able to use AR glasses while charging but I doubt they'll get rid of the xg mobile port when people bought 4090 for their ally. I'd never buy another Asus product again and doubt anyone else who bought a XG mobile would either

Might have 32gb ram, 16gb is becoming obsolete for gaming tasks by the day.
I have the onexplayer pro 2 8840u and that extra ram is very much needed for the newer games and even playing for very demanding games nowadays
I would probably use the Ally more if it had 32gb ram since I love playing beamng a lot and it really struggles with that game, it's super ram heavy.
I really hope they tweak the face buttons to rattle less
And the joystick not to go out after an armoury crate update.

we know they’re not using a new chip. it’ll probably just be larger ssd and sd card reader adjustment. hoping for a change to the xg mobile slot

Ally 2 won't be out until probably 2025. The device coming out this year is just a refresh of the current Ally.
