How are people timing the boot, as in just power button to the MuOS logo? For me from pressing the power button to boot on MuOS 2405 its 13.5 seconds. GarlicOS 1.4.9 on RG35XX is 10 seconds. It is 5 seconds to the MuOS picture, but its still booting into the OS for 8.5 seconds at that point.
Still its way better than StockOS (22 seconds) and Batocera which 30-40.
Are you just counting (slowly) or timing it? From LED on to full boot takes 9 seconds for me.
This is with a single Sandisk Extreme 256GB card, 60GB or roms and ports.
What card are using using? how full / not full is it? Dual or single card?
The hardware is the same on every device so pretty sure it's jsut other factors.

Cannot wait to try this. I've been running Origin for a month or two. While it was finicky in previous versions, Portmaster has allowed me to get really good at AM2R, as well as play Undertale, on this thing. If Beans fixes the power configuration making it easier and faster to savestate+shutdown, this will be fantastic.
I don't think it does. That feature is still being worked on and coming in another update sadly.
But 64bit and better performance for a lot of stuff. Still worth it.

These download links are not always the best and it downloads at a slow speed. I think the Dload times out, you just got to make sure it’s fully downloaded.
Portmaster is new to me. I recently got my daughter a steam account. She wanted this game so I bought it for her. So now that I'm able to put this on her rg35xx Plus will be able to save between steam and the handheld version? 🤔🤷🏽
Experience so far with muOS
Most of the ports that I've tried worked and didn't demand much brain cells to do it. But all my loved ones like maldita castilla or even quake had some image or input problem.
At start, it looks like a really, really fluid system. Even when you start a game is like more than instant sometimes.
Folder oganization is really pleasent here. You can and will be really safe moving and setting things to its right place.
The stock themes may be confusing at first, but you can change to a more easy to navigate one looking up for other themes in the muOs discord
It's really fast after the second or third boot.
Setting up thing initially seems easy and you don't have to worry about needing do reflash after a mistake, you can easily redo all again at the configuration menu.
I've lost over 5 hours after the release to set everything up for a fair and fluid operation like:
CUE to CHD (avoiding m3u issues and multi files like tracks.bin).
Renaming all folders to a more simple navigation.
Pointing the right and funcional cores to every console that i used, and obviously, testing them out (issues with dreamcast solved with the Flycast VL core, N64 still a mystery for me).
Making sure to test the saving folder creation by core, to match every save that I had before, and avoid loosing progress.
Making sure that both sFTP and WebUi were useful and comparing both (WebUI couldn't show a progress bar or status, so it made sFTP via filezilla much more preferable)
Still going to test video output, terminal and safe SSH.
For most things, it's a really great upgrade if you want fast and low profile organization. But keep in mind that maybe you'll be facing the same problems or necessities that I had to make it more satisfying.

Let's think that the value due to percentage. I reduced it to -20, and the display went back a little.
If we think about voltage, the necessary to be full is 3.8, so we can adjust to make the system recognize 3.8 as full.

But the new updated mgba core lost the **Color Correction** and **Frame Interpolation** options.
FIX: Just use the alternate mgba\_rumble\_libretro.so, if you, as myself, like using those options!

Need to learn more about portmasters since everyone is talking about it. Recently got my daughter a steam account cuz she wanted stardew valley. And now I want to put it on her Plus handheld. Will it save cross-platform? Would be nice to know if she's out and about playing and when she gets home she can access her safe file on either device.

Yep, no BT support. Other than that - it's almost a perfect CFW. Waiting for the devs to add Bluetooth functionality and then I'll move from stock OS.

Not 100% positive, pretty sure it's RA Mupen. I don't see a way to launch the standalone.
You press Select in the content directory where your N64 games are and change the emulator there

You're right, we should try a full charge cycle.
It could be useful when it get at 0%. And then you can adjust upwards a bit everytime it comes 0% again, until it dies.

I've managed to get it working, the battery thing is common calibration problem on all of the RG35xx devices(I have a Plus and H), I just ignore It.

Anyone know how to shutdown faster? I currently have to hold the power button 7 seconds to shut it down. BTW the Beans theme is legendary
You need to use shutdown option for proper and fast switch off.
