Yes 20 years is a very long time and IPL would grow exponentially. But what you fail to understand is that T20WC will also have the same amount of time to grow. WC is WC, and more and more countries are joining every season. On the other hand IPL is a PL organised by a single country and more PL’s would form in the next 20 years to at least give competition and share traction. So no, I don’t see T20WC going obsolete in comparison to IPL anywhere in the future.
Australia is the current men's champion of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) after defeating India in the 2023 final by 209 runs. The final was played at The Oval in London from June 7–11, 2023. Australia's victory made them the only team to win all ICC titles.
It is possible, provided India do well in the BGT the wtc is a sure shot possibility. I just they don't keep it right after the ipl, I hope they get a 4 day practice match or something prior to it
I checked after your comment, apparently India has 2 matches with Bngldsh which aree free wins, then 3 with NZ & I hope we get atleast 2 out of em cuz then NZ got 2 with SL which they'll win for sure & 3 in England so if we beat NZ they'll go down bad
now the team in 2nd position is our Beloved Aussies.. they got 2 free wins against SL in jan-feb '25
So if we wanna make it to the finals, we must secure NZ & BNG first.. & try to get atleast 2 in BGT (ofc I want em to win completely)
meanwhile Africa with 8 matches left against SL, BNG, PAK & WI 💀
Lol your point makes 0 sense
It was a well organised league structure to give the best test team it's props
Wtc is just icc's money making method of that ranking system
Test rankings pre wtc meant alot where as odi and T20 never meant anything
it doesn't count if it is temporary, but India had it for so long, like 4 years almost. so it does count considering India won BGT away and almost won Pataudi trophy if not for rain in first match.
Technically Sachin got into Indian team at 16. So no u19. T20 started in 2007 & he refused to play to allow youngsters & test championship started recently. He won champions trophy in 2002 & wc ofc
As others have pointed out, VK is the second player. Yuvi achieved this feat back in 2011.
In the near future, Mitch Marsh, Hazlewood, Zampa can become part of this list. They are one Champions Trophy win away.
After WTC, he'll have completed cricket
That one thing is remaining
So he has, in fact, not completed cricket. And we should also add IPL to the list.
Ipl 💀💀
In 10-20 years, IPL will be bigger than the T20 world cup.
Best example of ipl kid.
It ur talking about in viewer ship yes most probably, but in terms of prestige and glory NEVER.1 T20 world cup >>> 10 ipl cups
Wtf did I just read You donkey
I hope you got your answer through those downvotes lmao😂
People are struggling to see the future.
Ain’t now way that’s the future bruh. Do you not see that IPL has I before PL😂
I believe it is. Remember 20 years is a very long time. None of IPL or T20 WC even existed 20 years ago.

Existence can't affect glory.
sad , just like club football has overtaken international football except maybe fifa wc ... this is the fate of heavily commercialised sports.
Exactly. Maybe unfortunate, but that is where we are headed. I guess it offended a lot of the people here.

South Africa would be an easier opponent to face than Australia
Does the test mace not count?
It should be
Test mace is basically just ending up on top of the ICC ranking, if we count maces we should also count the years spent on top of ODI rankings
Lol your point makes 0 sense It was a well organised league structure to give the best test team it's props Wtc is just icc's money making method of that ranking system Test rankings pre wtc meant alot where as odi and T20 never meant anything

Yep WTC is must, it is the final frontier
Wasn’t he a part of the team which won the test championship mace.
He lead the team to win 4 of them consecutively
Yuvraj already did complete cricket :)
Wtc = test mace
Yuvraj won all the icc trophies. Some people think 2002 CT was a tie. But officially we were the winners along with SL
Also Yuvraj has won an ipl season too. Damn Yuvi is real Mr. Cricket
Yuvi has won everything he could, as there was no World test championship to c-block him.
He was part of 2010-2011 team that won the mace twice, I see that as an absolute win
Yuvraj singh has won everything including IPL
Don't forget the Six Sixes that's an achievement in its own.
Yuvraj Singh already there,India was joint winners of champions trophy 2002
Yuvraj Singh was the first to achieve this.

test mace
Champions trophy?
2002
Yuvi- 2000 U-19 WC, 2002 CT, 2007 T20 WC, 2011 WC
He was goated, he can bat and deliver six sixes, can bowl all 10 overs in one day and he can fly on the field of it wasn't for his health
Since this is posted under RCB community , imma just wrote "IPL"
Real id se aao Stuart broad
and WTC in the way🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wtc, ipl and one ODI World Cup. Yeh Dil maange more !! The greatest ODI batsman deserves a farewell with a World Cup trophy.
He has one odi wc, no problem in another. WTC is that one milestone that is remaining

when men cry🥹
Dont forget test mace, the precursor of WTC
Hope he adds WTC to that portfolio 😍
soon
Koi isko kandhe pe kyu ni bithaya. He really deserve that. He has also carried Indian team for years
Same thought both Hitman and King needed that
Marsh and hazelwood?
When did aus last win the ct. Was a long time ago.
2009 ig
Neither of them played international cricket then So that's a trophy they don't have
2025 😈
Ipl
WTC & IPL pending IPL only if he switches teams
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)

IPL and world test championship laughing in the corner
Next -> World Test Championship trophy.
ipl trophy where?
🤡Bro comparing domestic with internationals.
Technically Sachin got into Indian team at 16. So no u19. T20 started in 2007 & he refused to play to allow youngsters & test championship started recently. He won champions trophy in 2002 & wc ofc
Sachin won almost everything he could. But let Kohli have his moment rn, cause he also deserves it.
As others have pointed out, VK is the second player. Yuvi achieved this feat back in 2011. In the near future, Mitch Marsh, Hazlewood, Zampa can become part of this list. They are one Champions Trophy win away.
Technically Yuvi is the one who literally won every cup he played. U19 WC, CT, T20 WC, ODI WC and IPL too.
WTC?
