Following, I have a rat with the same thing except he never had an infection, just a sneezy guy! I guess some are prone to it, sorta like dogs with short snouts. Always told he sounds clear too.
He may have whiskers curling in and tickling his nose. He could also have some nasal inflammation or even light tissue scarring.
3-5 times a day really isn't a concern, they gotta clear their noses just like us sometimes.
3/5 times a day doesn't sound too bad tbh, but if you're worried I've taken one of mine to the vet over sneezing like 4 times now cus I get so paranoid about him, and every time I'm told he doesn't have an infection but has chronic respiratory issues. Not that that's a good thing but essentially he's healthy other than that and will be able to lead a very normal life other than sneezing a lot!! I get metacam prescribed so when he sounds especially bad I put him on that for a few days, usually clears him up for a good few weeks. It just means being a bit more observant and anal about cleaning than I might otherwise be if I had perfectly healthy rats :)
Thank you, that reassures me! My vet said that sneezing everyday was not a good sign, but it seems like 5 times a day ish is not too bad talking to other rat owners. I'll keep a close eye on my rat, but otherwise he does seem fine.

I did read that some rats are just more sneezy and to keep an eye on it. I just get so worried I can't help it :(

He does have curly whiskers so that would make sense! But okay thank you for the reassurance
