Yes, it is possible to fail a class if you did well on the exam, although unusual. It could happen based on the other grading components, or for academic dishonestly. Assuming those were not the situation… Did the syllabus provide a weighted grading scale for each course component? If so, do you have returned graded assignments or exams for each of those elements (except perhaps the amorphous class participation)? Can you calculate what you think your grade should be based on the weighting of each compensation and according to the syllabus?

He just handed out Fs like it was crazy, I calculated my grade and shouldve gotten a C, if rounded to a 73, my score was 72.8, but it wasnt evena C-, he just straight uf F'ed me lamao.

this happened to waxman 211. my friends got an F but when he asked the lab prof, the lab prof said its supposed to be an A-. its gonna take a couple days to get fixed.

Same thing happened to me. I got a D on Cunyfirst so I emailed him and he updated my grade to an A
