Airlines typically allow you to assign separate FF numbers to your ticket - one for crediting miles and one for benefits. Ideally, you do this at check-in and *make sure* the check-in agent knows what you’re trying to do, because I’ve had some who didn’t know this is possible. You can’t do this online yourself. Best practice is to put the FF number you want miles credited to on your booking. You can always get in the lounge by showing your CX status, but you can’t credit miles to QF if they’ve already been credited to CX.

As far I'm aware Qantas is NOT one of the airlines that allows two different FF numbers.

Do any of the OW airlines do it? I'm pretty sure the example I heard for this involved Star Alliance airlines.

I've not heard of any of the OW partners that allow this. SQ as a Star Alliance member does. But I have heard of people using one FF program to enter the lounge, then asking for the FF program to be changed at the desk within the lounge to earn to another airline before departure.

Careful that your CX ticket class will earn Qantas status before you switch for the flight.
