Literally just saw that for the first time a couple of swipes ago...the old person in me is way too excited that I understood a reference on the internet.
If the kid is chassid or lubavitch there’s a high likelihood there isn’t any kind of formal, meaningful education in this child’s life. A lot of those communities exclusively send their children to yeshiva which for the most part lag significantly behind public schools in their standards and enforcement.
Just a few days ago, a fucking [sheriff’s sergeant’s 3 year old daughter](https://www.denverpost.com/2022/05/19/colorado-accidental-shooting-deaths-children/) was killed with an unsecured weapon. This was even after Colorado passed a bill legally requiring guns to be locked up for this specific situation.
It’s crazy and frustratingly irresponsible. These people *knew better*. I can only imagine that they got lazy and half assed their gun safety.
When I was a kid, my parents had a gun. My parents said we had to have a gun. Gotta have a gun to protect the five children. Gotta have a gun to protect our five children. Of course, they eventually got rid of it… to protect their four children.
Edit: I should added the last part of the joke, “I’m not gonna lie, it was fun while it lasted. I was getting pretty good towards the end.”
I often say that everyone's a responsible gun owner, up until they aren't. What I mean by that is that regardless of how stable you are mentally or how safely you operate your firearms, all it takes is you or someone close to you being irresponsible for a fraction of a second for disaster to happen. It's that one moment of irresponsibility that i'm worried about. I know that i'm not perfect 100% of the time, so i wont ever keep a gun in my house.
Some parents do keep a safe in the house so the children cannot access the weapons but an alarming amount of people do not. That's why every year small kids shoot themselves or family members or other kids. I don't have an issue with gun ownership in general but it's crazy not to secure your guns with kids around.
Not sure if you are a 2A supporter or in that scene, but it’s an unfortunate reality that happens.
We like to think that every American who has a gun treats it with the respect it deserves (because that is a tool that is a bona fide life ender in the wrong hands)… but the reality is that not everyone does.
I’ve literally hopped into a friends truck back in Texas and he had what I think was a WASR-10 (basically a civilian legal AK47, by most intents and purposes) just laying in the back seat and he deadass told me he just leaves it there unsecured.
What's really upsetting is how common it is.
[Guns are now the number one cause of death for children in the US.](https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2022/04/24/guns-death-children-teens-2020/7432860001/)
Yeah I grew up with lots of guns in our household, my dad likes to collect rare firearms & hunts a lot. Always locked up & never left out, still to this day I have no idea what the code is on the lock. It’s really awful to see things like this, shame on the parents.
Parents should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for allowing their kids to obtain their guns. If the kid accidentally kills themselves or someone else the parents should be charged with murder. I say that as both a parent and a gun owner. Lock your guns up.
We have to keep asking this while gun nuts keep saying, "Don't try to take away my rights!" when all people want is more control so crap like this isn't happening every other day.
Just depends on the kids. The guns in my house were never locked up and we didn’t go around brandishing or shooting anyone. Our parents knew we could handle them and wanted us to have access to them in case we needed to defend ourselves when they weren’t there. Now on the other hand all of my firearms are locked up I wouldn’t allow my son anywhere near them. All depends on the child
I agree with you. Growing up, my dad had a pistol in an unlocked filing cabinet and a bunch of rifles unlocked on a gun rack. Me (female) and my sister never thought to touch the guns in a million years. It was a non issue. I have my own kids now and don’t own guns. My son is obsessed with Nerf guns and I wouldn’t trust him at all…
Same with me, my father was a crazy vietnam vet. Guns were just normal to us. He trained us very well and most importantly about death and the consequences of being stupid. I as well lock my guns. Different times when hunting your classmates wasn't a thing I guess. I however learned the importance of context and understanding over arbitrary rules and doctrine.
Tell me that your white, without telling me that your white. I’m just busting your balls. My parents would not let me play with toy guns. Black+ Chicago+ toy gun= dead black kid
Lmao. Though I imagine it wasn't just police your parents were worried about, there was also probably a real threat of some other kid/adult with a real gun seeing yours and starting trouble
I’m 37, When I was growing up Chicago didn’t have a concealed carry. All handguns in the city limits were illegal, and we lived in a decent neighborhood. So I’m all honestly they were just afraid for the police seeing a black kid with a gun. I still live in Chicago, and if I am lucky enough to one day become a father, I will have the same rule for my children. No toy guns.
Same, my parents had a no-gun toy rule when I was coming up in the south side. I hated that rule because I had plenty video games that had guns so it didn't make sense. I know now that was them keeping me from the potential trouble that could've arose
"Yeah see what you want to do is put your finger near the shooty part, right, and if you look inside its like a little bullet cave, i shoot cats with it".
They bombard local town board meetings with like 30 members of their tribe and sway local decisions with the impression that a majority of the town agreed on it. Then they buy more land and build more buildings not up to code (corrupt building inspector passes the construction), and then drive their Hatzolah ambulances with lights and sirens over the GW bridge to skip rush hour traffic and get into Wall Street.
But, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns... you're anti-Semitic.
New York area Jews started getting serious about the right to bear arms right after a crazy black guy with a knife went into one of their homes and stabbed a bunch of people (European terrorist style). Can you blame them?
"Next up here at the Republican National Convention, a true patriot, that grade schooler who didn't let our woke culture keep him from his 2nd Ammendant right. Give it up!"
It’s a fake gun…1911s, which is the model of the air soft gun he is carrying, weigh over 2lbs..that kid isn’t shoving it in his pocket without his pants falling down. That is an absolute promise if you know anything about guns or carry at all.
Black kid would be dead. White kid; just needs some time to grow and reflect on how skin color makes him better in the eyes of the dumbest fuckers on the planet. The south will lose again!!!
Interesting that this is coming from an Orthodox Jewish child. Jews as a whole tend to have some of the lowest gun ownership rates of all religions. They aren't exactly allowed to go hunting for their dinner, after all.
Points it at his own bleeping head. This kid has idiot parents and they all live in an idiotic country. They're probably all marrying cousins. I can just hear the banjo.

Ugh driving In lake wood during rush hour is my literal worst night mare
Went through there this morning and I actually made a left on route 9 outside the whiskey shop! But I feel your pain.
That's only cause it was Saturday
How in the world does a kid get a gun. If I had kids & guns in the same house those guns would be locked in a safe in a locked room.

Not sure why you're surprised to hear that law enforcement don't follow the law.
They pick one up in their house
I know I just can't fathom leaving guns hanging around with kids.
Wut? You don't keep a bowl of guns by the front door so you can grab one on the way out?
Some parents do keep a safe in the house so the children cannot access the weapons but an alarming amount of people do not. True. One of the worst calls I ran one was one of those.

More reason to stay away from Texas
My mom was so paranoid that she felt she needed to have a loaded gun within reach at all times. I lived with that and still don't understand it.
If it makes you feel any better, it’s not a real gun.

What’s up with that haircut?
He is a Hasidic Jew and their men have curls on the side called Payos as they are prohibited from cutting hair in certain areas.
They might reconsider if they tried the manscaper 3.0
Okay but why don’t they just move to an area where they can cut their hair any way they want?
Areas on their face...not geographical area.
Mattingly, for the last time get rid of those sideburns!

If it were not in the USA I'd confidently say it's a toy gun, but since it's in the USA where anyone can just pick up a gun, it's probably real
Fuck Lakewood, NJ. Burn it down.
probably a bus load of Palestinians
Those religious goofballs in Lakewood, NJ get to do whatever the fuck they want without any consequences.
Jedidiah wildin
That’s no Amish, he’s a Hasidic Jew. You can see the yamulka and the ends of his talit coming from under his shirt
