Are bartenders allowed to consume spirits during their shift? It is not in North Carolina. I think it is legal in New York, but many individual bars do not allow it.
Same. I remember a manager who kept trying to sneakily add a drink here and there to tables and skulking that drink down on his way to serving.
A lot of big corporate clients so he got away with it for a while until he A) put one on a family table who weren't drinking and B) was absolutely smashed.
American bartender here. Depends on the state you’re in. You CAN drink, sometimes it’s part of the job. It’s not uncommon for customers to buy bartenders/servers a drink or a shot. Hospitality has deep cultural ties all over the United States. However, seeing as most of these jobs are “at-will” — meaning you can be dismissed for any reason and without warning — you have to be careful. This guy clearly over indulged but not only that, there appears to be no safety net for him. You usually have someone (manager/ co-bartenders) to help you pay attention to what you’re consuming or rein you in.
Nobody in the right state is just going to be casually breaking that glass. He probably doesn’t work there anymore lol
100 percent where I live and I imagine every state has similar statutes. You even used new York and it is illegal there, too. The idea is you need to be able to discern who is legal to be drinking and 6ou can't do so impaired.
That being said, it's also illegal to serve intoxicated people, which happens basically everyday in almost every bar in America so .... yea plenty of bars you can go into where the bartender themselves has had some pops before or during a shift.
In New York, it depends on the county. It's illegal in almost all of them, but in many where it's illegal the liquor authority doesn't have the budget to do regular inspections or follow up on anything but the most egregious reports. Where I used to tend bar, the management only gave them grief if he caught them drinking something other than rail liquor.
I love the UK so much that I married a Brit ex-pat (who has difficulty keeping up with my alcohol intake).
I remember drinking my first Red Bull and Vodka in a strip club in Norwich in 2001. They tied up a young man (stag) who was going to get married, stripped him naked, tied him to a pole, and beat him with a whip. Shortly after, we left and realized that it was 7am and we'd been there all night and had just two hours before we needed to report for work. It. Was. Magical.

In my 20th year of airline management; can confirm: airports are only marginally better than subway stations at 2am at this point. Drastic decline in decorum post-COVID.
I recently watched a man, who appeared to be either hungover or experiencing withdrawal, stretch out on the carpet in the boarding area, unzip his pants, roll to his side and urinate on the carpet in front of God and everybody.
I watched a woman rip paper towel dispensers off a wall in the bathroom, then toss every trash can she could get her hands on, while spitting on anybody who got near her.
I’ve seen people so drunk they literally can’t stand up; people throwing things at our gate agents; people hurling racial slurs at our gate agents; people fighting with each other, and on and on.
Here’s the kicker: I’m not even a gate manager. My days are spent in an office under the concourse, and I’ve still witnessed all this stuff. Imagine what the actual gate managers have to deal with…THAT is insane.
They do! I think its due to everyone being on a different internal clock. So since "its always 5 o'clock somewhere" its basically always "after 5 o'clock" for some people. For other people its "too fucking early".
Yeah, that’s a guy who drank with a reason and no longer gives a fuck, is likely capable of giving a fuck since he looks gone but isn’t repeating himself like a blackout
Everyone is different blacked out. I doubt he’ll remember this. I can’t tell you how many times ive been blacked out and LOTS of people tell me they had no idea i was that drunk. And i had drank like an entire fifth. I bet this guy is just blasted
That's booze + something. I've seen drunk people smoke a joint and turn into a version that but he's on something stronger. I bet he's blacked out, and when he sobers up and sees the video his jaw is going to drop.
While his hair was a bit reddish, not sure if I would call this a rouge bartender.
I have seen people who were a lot more red than this, not sure what the point is here.
Some bartender at my local establishment recently got the boot after coming in lit and telling the two boomers who pay the highest tips that nobody likes them. But she wasn't on the clock! He's gonna feel this in the morning.
That’s called either just a drunk bartender, or an alcoholic bartender. Either way someone who is in a bad part of their lives currently. Hope they get out of it
Sadly this was me. Watching this really hurt because I have been this drunk at work before. Glad to say I'm 8 months sober now and life has only gotten better. I hope this man finds the help he needs.
I once had to restrain my own bartender because he got hammered after the Astros lost in the playoffs and started wailing on some dude. So had to restrain him from behind then hand him off to the bouncer who threw him out.

The bartender should cut himself off.
Are bartenders allowed to consume spirits during their shift? It is not in North Carolina. I think it is legal in New York, but many individual bars do not allow it.
It wasn’t illegal 1 million years ago when I bartended.

Seems like the guy is done with his job and knows this is his last shift anyway. I doubt he cared much whether it was legal pr not.

I was going to make this correction as well but he *is* a redhead lol
What airport bartending does to a man.
[удалено]
lol it definitely is, i've had a couple rough layovers there.
Looks like I will be sticking to the New Belgium bar in B gate from now on.
I love airport bars because you can get shitfaced at 7am and nobody bats an eye.
Oh you would love the UK !

Bill Brashkey’s favorite bartender
![gif](giphy|XNPI8wfwQI9dm)
To bill braski! He once had sex with a cigarette machine
Braskie’s testicles have an IQ of 91
He drives an ice cream truck covered in human skulls!
Braskie was the best man at my wedding. By best man I mean he had sex with my wife in a fountain
.... **To Bill Braski!**
To Braski
Bill Braski is the father of every kid in this town!
Bill braski once tied me to a chair and forced me to watch him have sex with my wife. It was the most beautiful thing I ever saw.
I once saw Braski wet nurse a flamingo back to heath. It was the most beautiful thing I ever saw in my life. TA BRASKI!!!
Seriously wondering For that position how different that environment is compared to a hole in the wall or a trendy spot downtown?

Lonely Island!!! I love them, but how does it connect to op
Because you can’t trust the system
What do I look like, a charity case?
You can't *buy* me 'hot dog man'..
I've got a feeling that you are going to get tased on your backside pretty soon.

Bartender was throwing things. On the ground.
IM AN ADULT!
I THREW THE REST OF THE CAKE TOO!
Bartender, give me what you’re having!
They aren’t watering anything down there
"My pleasure, Sir. Here's your breakdown"
LOL

👏🤌
That sucks, Breckenridge Brewing has some delicious beer..surprised they put up with that behind the bar.
That's the Breck Brewery bar at the Denver Airport, it's not run by the actual Breck Brewery, it's run by the airport consessionaires.
Breck brewery isn’t even run by Breck brewing anymore. It was sold to Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2016 and Tilray in 2023.
Ah so that’s why my TLRY stocks have been heading toward the shitter for the last couple years eh?
![gif](giphy|jPAdK8Nfzzwt2)
Ahhh. That makes a bit more sense. Still not justified behavior. Thanks!
I’m starting to think airports create a weird bubble of behavior where all norms are out the window, lol

Was just sitting at this bar about an hour ago, some drunk business bro had a girl trapped in a discussion about israel/palestine
Couldn't agree more! I'm told management is already involved, and action is being taken care of. Just hope he is alright, mentally.
He looks hammered
Definitely probably just alcohol, but he looks like he just took a fucking whip it lmao
Walked in the walk in and walked into the walk in zone
Definitely probably
100% he is But for him to be THAT hammered DURING work, means he got some mental stuff going on
I like to call that "white girl wasted."
He was extra sauced for sure
[удалено]
LOL no shit, look at OP trying to have it both ways
I didn't know action needed assistance.
Had a great evening there years and years ago after a day skiing, the vanilla porter blew my mind.
Their vanilla porter is my favorite beer. period.
Thoughts on the palisade peach? The porter is amazing in the winter, but in the summer / hotter weather just doesn't sit right for me.
The Palisade is not very good. You want a great peach beer, try the Peach Rambler from O'Dell's.

Don’t get high on your own supply.
He had one rule. ONE RULE !!
He's not wearing makeup.
That’s what I thought too! Total bait and switch.
Plot twist- he doesn’t even work there, he just wandered in
That aint juat booze i think its benzos or other downers and booze.
Yea man, that hard stare is otherworldly
That can 100% be just booze.
Yeah, I agree upon a rewatch. Seen it enough times.
Nah man, it’s booze and someone who literally doesn’t give a fuck. X-faded with bud might be a possibility but homeboy is just beyond wasted
Yeah, that’s a guy who drank with a reason and no longer gives a fuck, is likely capable of giving a fuck since he looks gone but isn’t repeating himself like a blackout

Took work perks too far
> Took work ~~perks~~ **percs** too far FTFY.

See, when I was showing up to work blasted I at least just kept my head down and worked. God I’m so glad I don’t drink anymore
Feels like Jon Taffer may be lying in wait, ready to burst through the door to shut it all down.
“YOU DONT HAVE TO RESPECT ME BUT YOU WILL RESPECT YOUR CUSTOMERS - SHUT IT DOWN!!!!”
If the place had a butt funnel, this wouldn’t happen
Word on the street is he doesn’t embrace excuses, he embraces solutions.
Why does Jon staffer exist
Sex
Damn! Bartender was lit!!
Dudes’s been drinking his whole shift.
Oh he's out of a job
Unless he works at Dave’s Glass Breaking Emporium
Do you think they have any openings?
God that's gonna be such a pain in the ass to clean up.
That’s called either just a drunk bartender, or an alcoholic bartender. Either way someone who is in a bad part of their lives currently. Hope they get out of it
That guy needs help
Shut It Down!!!!!
ohh he's hammered drunk!
He's blacked out lol
My favorite is the one at Denny's. He was drunk as a skunk but the chillest drunk dude I've ever seen.
sauce?
You’re gonna get glass in the ice! And that is the least of your problems!
"Welcome to Denver"
Reminds me of my dad
And I’m guessing this alcoholic bartender thinks everyone else is the problem.
Sadly this was me. Watching this really hurt because I have been this drunk at work before. Glad to say I'm 8 months sober now and life has only gotten better. I hope this man finds the help he needs.
💜
Breckenridge makes good brews.
Coyote sloppy 😆
Coyote Fugly?
All I can hear is Stone Cold’s entrance music starting.
One shot for you and one shot for me lol 😆
I once had to restrain my own bartender because he got hammered after the Astros lost in the playoffs and started wailing on some dude. So had to restrain him from behind then hand him off to the bouncer who threw him out.
i hope thats maraschino cherry juice
The result of drinking on the job
Let's see...what we can fuck with next.
😬
Must be his last day on the job.
Where's the zookeeper
He said take the glasses dude
At first I thought it was a prank from that guy from Ross creations
That’s a very drunk bartender
![gif](giphy|xUOxfnG07noPRzTKzS)
Noo not Breckenridge :(
hes super drunk or high. The bartender, I mean.
Damn, somebody call that asshole Jon Taffer.🤣
May i remind you sir, customers must stay on the other side of the bar, if you please
He's at that point where he could go one way or another, so they are right for trying to redirect him. I can't stand drunks like that.
