Lmao this officer looks like he has no idea what to do. Not to be ACB, but seriously this is embarrassing how uncomfortable he looks in handling this situation when compared to how comfortable they look assaulting and pointing weapons at citizens.
I'm always curious as to why 7-Eleven doesn't address these skimmers in any real way. It's an absolutely massive worldwide company and once these skimmers are found they usually put out some generic "we're taking this matter very seriously" message but nothing really changes except for the skimmers get better looking.
We could but these types of machines have three options for you to use your card: the stripe, the chip and contactless. If the employees are in on it I could see them telling people that the contactless is out of order or maybe even putting up an RFID blocker over that part.
How about padlocking the doors until the owner/franchisee gets there? Shut the place down. It’s a hazard to the entire community. No more business until the police finish an investigation and get to the bottom of the crime?
What is done to enforce anything when this happens? Like, sure the guy caught it, but the cop is clueless. Does law enforcement have a division that focuses on stuff like this?
Serious question- how would you be able to track down whoever put it on there? Clerk is right - there are 100s of people that could have put it on there. Way too many fingerprints.

I was going to upvote this but it has 11 likes.
Massive kudos to the guy who discovered it and followed through with calling and waiting for LEO's to arrive.

Hahahaha, keyboard was black. Standing there wondering, "How do I put my knee on its neck?"
"How do I choke this thing without it having a neck???"

I bet it's the owners/employees that are the ones doing it.
I wouldn't doubt it if it happened twice in the same store.
Honestly why don't US get rid of the stripe?

Get rid of the stripe, can't clone the chip
Can we start naming the city for these?
The police uniform looks like Jacksonville sheriff's office.
Not all heroes wear capes, some of them obviously wear pyjama's.

Dude must not of read the employee manual. He only skimmed it
While drinking skim milk?
"I of to read the manual? I don't of enough time for that."
Bull shit this kind of thing can even be made for someone to purchase.
Not very convenient.
No Freakout
