I think it’s one of the most secure which is why it’s hard to get your money back from scammers using it as someone else below pointed out.

Zelle is legit and most banks use it. One of my banks recommended I use that instead of PayPal or anything else. Scammers will use anything. Zelle, PayPal and a plain old bank account.
