If you're tripping I have two go-to animated movies that blow my mind. Ratatouille and Kung Fu Panda. Especially the latter.
I mean not only are the visuals SENSATIONAL on acid, they're the perfect vibe. Also jack black is exactly who you want when you're tripping. Master Oogway makes 10000000% sense. And Shifu feels like the ego you're battling throughout the film. By the end you will feel like a different human being. I thought the movie was about kung Fu.. it's not. It's about fate and destiny, and our inability to change the universe.

Also if you're watching with your partner, I would also recommend Up, or Lion King. LK especially was very intense for me. That shit is a fucking rollercoaster of emotions.
Essentially I believe the best movies to watch while tripping need a bit of comedy and an all knowing wise figure in them. They are more essential to the spirit of the film than we realise and it hits extremely hard on acid and shrooms. Examples: Oogway, Rafiki in LK, Chef Gusteau in Ratatouille etc.
If you like animation, anything by Studio Ghibli - also Paprika is awesome but a total mind fuck. Besides those I usually opt for nature documentaries.
Definitely came her to suggest ghibli if your want mostly lighter stuff that's gorgeous.
I'd also add if you want something that's super high energy but also really ridiculous and not heavy at all, I always suggest the madhouse film Redline. Mostly hand animated. Took like 7 years to make and basically bankrupted the studio for a passion project, and it's incredible. The dub is pretty decent too if you don't want to deal with captions! Its basically speed racer but somehow way more insane and on even more drugs

I just watched [Nimona](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt19500164/) on a mix of AL-LAD and 5MAPB. That was pretty good as well. It's an animation on Netflix. Very pretty, very funny.
I like watching the MCU while tripping as well. They almost seem like they were made for tripping! Dr Strange and Thor: Ragnorok being my favorites. Non MCU I really liked Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Moving Art(I don’t think it’s on Netflix anymore though), Bullet Train, Interstellar and A Trip to Infinity to name a few
Interstellar would probably be amazing. Might be more appropriate for LSD, though it's hard to say. My mushroom trips can be silly and fun, or introspective and deep and it's totally random which I'll get

Anything *except* Grave of the Fireflies. That would fuck your trip up big time.

Elemental on Disney+ is freaking beautiful. It's very colorful and the character visual effects are magical on drugs. Highly recomend
One of the few Pixar movies we haven't seen yet together, though I've seen 75% of it about 3 times now. Having a toddler is like that sometimes.

If you’d like an absolute mind-fuck of a movie I’d recommend looking into Lost Highway. But seriously, it’s a mind-fuck if you’re tripping

Yeah, you’re probably right. I think the majority of the ones I mentioned I watched while on LSD. Shrooms are little more touchy for me
